Kingfisher Lake International Children’s College is an independent or private school in Mozambique, welcoming children from 18 months to grade ten. It is located midway between the City of Inhambane and Tofo village, 500kms north of Maputo. Our multi-cultural co-educational College enjoys a fusion of Mozambican and Moroccan inspired architecture with rolling lawns, hundreds of palm trees with classrooms overlooking a beautiful fresh water lake. Here, our learners prepare for their role in the twenty-first century and the responsibilities it will place before them. 💙 THE LITTLE MOMENTS MATTER

Not every day at Kingfisher is about big events, competitions or achievements.

Sometimes it’s simply a classroom full of laughter, friends helping each other, a teacher seeing that lightbulb moment, or a child proudly showing someone what they’ve been working on.

These are the moments that make up school life — the ordinary days that, looking back, become some of the memories we remember most.

And that’s what we love about our little Kingfisher community. 💙

Last week’s Athletics Day had it all… intense competition, dramatic finishes, questionable running techniques, very serious athletes, and enough cheering to keep the whole school entertained. 😂🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Yesterday was such a fantastic day for our Primary and High School students! Despite the very hot weather, our students gave their all and did an amazing job in every event. ☀️👏

A huge well done to every single student who participated, cheered on their friends and gave their best throughout the day. And congratulations to everyone who placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in their events — you should be very proud! 🥇🥈🥉

And, of course, congratulations to the Scorpions for taking the win and being crowned our Athletics Day champions! 🦂🏆💚

Here’s everything parents need to know:

📅 THURSDAY | Primary & High School
🏫 School starts: 08:00
🏃 Sports activities start: 08:30
🏫 School closes: 14:00

📅 FRIDAY | Preschool
🏫 School starts: 08:00
🏃 Preschool sports activities will begin in the morning
🏫 School closes: 13:20
👨‍👩‍👧 Preschool parents are welcome to take their children home after the activities.

All parents are warmly invited to come along, support and cheer on our students! 📣💚💛

After having to postpone our Athletics Days last term because of the weather, we’re very excited to finally get our students out on the field for some fun, friendly competition! 💚💛

📅 Primary & High School: Thursday, 17 September
📅 Preschool: Friday, 18 September
We’re looking forward to a few days filled with running, jumping, cheering, teamwork and plenty of Kingfisher spirit! 🎉

💙 More Than Just Academics

At Kingfisher, we believe a good education is about more than what happens inside the classroom.
Of course, academic learning is important. But we also want our students to leave school with the confidence to communicate, the ability to solve problems, the skills to work with others, and the independence to take on challenges.

Through friendships, sport, hands-on projects, outdoor activities and everyday experiences, our students are constantly developing skills that will stay with them long after they've left the classroom.
Because education isn't only about what you know. It's also about who you become along the way. 🌱
