The Dolphin Centre

At The Dolphin Centre we aim to deliver the best possible experience when swimming with wild dolphins in their natural environment. Combining a comprehensive dolphin behaviour introduction and a formulated code of conduct, you can rest assured that the best interests of both marine life and you are being catered for during your excursion. Our dolphin excursions range between 2 and 2.5 hours, with

a pre-launch briefing on boat safety, marine life and responsible interactions. The trip included snorkeling over one of our shallow reefs, in-water swim facilitation with one of our dolphin guides, and seasonal whale shark and humpback whale sightings. Dolphin In-water observations are not guaranteed due to sightings and nature of the dolphins, and we do suggest booking more than one launch to have the opportunity to interact with our finned friends.

*Launches are run daily and are subject to group size and sea conditions.
*Group size is limited to a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12.

This code of conduct aims to ensure that all tourism interactions with marine mammals are conducted in the best interests of those mammals, as well as other marine animals, in such a manner that:
• Interactions support a sustainable, eco friendly approach.
• Interactions with marine animals do not disrupt natural daily behaviour.
• Interactions of such a nature are sustainable.
• Unrealistic expectations do not result in interactions having a negative impact on marine mammals and other animal populations
• No chasing or swimming after, Refrain from diving down.
• No swimming with newborns.
• Do not use flash photography in the water.
• A strict rule of NO TOUCH.
• In-water, swimmers are to remain calm, relax and have a “quite” disposition in the water.
• Swim with arms along your sides or behind your back.
• Try avoid splashing and erratic kicking of your fins on the surface.
• In-water observations are solely dependent on the natural behaviour of the dolphins. In the event of the dolphins showing avoidance behaviour, a “NO water Entry” Policy should be adopted. We promote Responsible Marine Mammal Tourism in creating a sustainable eco-friendly approach while conserving our environment through education.
