⚠ Attention all travelers! Due to heavy rains, a bridge near Omeya (the Weighbridge, approximately 30km south of Windhoek) collapses. Exercise extreme caution when traveling between Windhoek and Rehoboth!

For those of our guests traveling to the South, in particular to Moon Mountain Lodge and further south. We recommend you use the Kupferberg Pass to exit Windhoek.
Please be aware, this is a long gravel road and should only be driven in a 4x4 vehicle. Heavy rains continue to affect road conditions.
Rivers and river tributaries that cross sections of roads on this route are in flood.
Check the river level before attempting to drive through. Make sure the rivers current is not strong and that there are no large rocks and tree stumps obstructing the direct path you should drive through. Stay on the compacted road and do not drive around the pools of water in the road, drive through slowly. If you bypass the pools of water, your vehicle will get stuck in the soft mud next to the road. Stay alert and drive with caution.
