"Nightscaper"

Photographing during the night is pure magic! You walk only with your camera and headlamp through the complete darkness in awareness of wild animals like scorpions and snakes. Adjusting your tripod on a potential spot and than you hit the trigger. You could only imagine what the camera will see. Completely excitement!
Here you see a panorama taken near Spitzkoppe in Namibia. I love this fluently abstract lines of the rockformations. For me one of the most remarkable landscape in Namibia. "Under A Million Stars"

The Quiver Tree Forest near Keetmanshoop in Namibia is a beautiful location! Especially during the starry night. This crazy looking trees are actually no trees but an aloe plant. They are known as "quiver tree" (Afrikaans: kokerboom) because bushmen traditionally used its branches to make quivers.
This panorama shows our milky way galaxy inclusive the rare zodiacal light over this national monument. At the right side my bro Riccardo Schläger enjoys the night under a million stars

We were following a lioness carrying her cub for around 2kms when we could see she was getting really tired. Suddenly, an elephant showed up and looked as if it was wanting to help the tired lioness! The elephant put its trunk down, the cub jumped up and the elephant started carrying the lion cub!! I never ever knew this was possible!
They are still there for anyone in the area!

With the death of the last male northern white rhino last week, the world was reminded that yet another charismatic animal is functionally extinct because of humans. But in the future, because of synthetic biology, extinction may not be forever. And the northern white rhino could be the animal that....
