A PLEA FOR RESPONSIBLE CO-OPERATION, FELLOW SWAKOPMUNDERS/NAMIBIANS:
In order to give this magnificent sentient being a chance on survival do not
* approach it and/or herd it or do anything to affect its movement or personal space.
* avoid making any noise (loud voices, ho***rs, cars revving, music) within audible range of the animal.
* attempt to Lure or feed it or interact in any way.
* do “rubbernecking” like people do at accident scenes, congesting roads and creating dangerous blocking of roads.
If it should approach your garden or busy roads alert the police who will alert the Ministry of Environment and Tourism and relevant NGOs and knowledgeable volunteers. Let's be thankful to be able to actually have such an animal in this area, and conserve / respect it's presence!
DO NOT BECOME THE REASON HE IS DESTROYED!!
