Where the desert meets the ocean… 🌊

Along Namibia’s Atlantic coast, towering dunes stretch towards the sea, creating one of the country’s most striking landscapes.

The warm colours of the dunes meet the cold blue Atlantic, with nothing but sand and sea stretching into the distance.

It is a landscape shaped by two completely different worlds, meeting in one unforgettable place. 🧡

A honeymoon in Namibia is a little different… ✨

You could wake up among the dunes, spend the afternoon watching elephants at a waterhole and end the day with a sundowner in the middle of nowhere. Add beautiful lodges, scenic drives and some of the clearest night skies you’ll ever see – while enjoying Namibia at your own pace.

Whether you want a relaxed escape, a wildlife-filled adventure or a combination of both, we can create your special honeymoon.

We also love making the occasion extra special with one of our lovely ATI honeymoon baskets. 🧺💛

International Vulture Awareness Day

Vultures are some of nature’s most important cleaners - by removing carcasses, they help prevent the spread of diseases and keep ecosystems healthy.

Namibia is home to the Cape Griffon Vulture and Lappet-faced Vulture, two magnificent but threatened raptors. Their populations face growing pressures from poisoning, power lines, habitat loss and other human-related impacts.

The good news? Conservation efforts are making a difference. From ringing and monitoring chicks in the Namib-Naukluft National Park to rehabilitation and vulture feeding sites, dedicated organisations and conservationists are working to protect these remarkable birds.

With their impressive size, soaring flight and vital role in our ecosystems, vultures deserve our protection.🌍

📍 Namibia’s diverse landscapes also make it a fantastic destination for birding and wildlife enthusiasts, with opportunities to spot these incredible raptors across the country.

💡 Fun fact: A group of vultures circling together is called a “kettle” of vultures.

Walvis Bay Boat Cruises are back!

For some time, we stopped recommending Walvis Bay boat cruises due to concerns around animal welfare. We, along with many of our agents and guests, felt that the ongoing feeding of seals and birds, as well as their presence on the boats, did not align with our company’s Animal Welfare Policy.

Following discussions with Walvis Bay Tours, we are proud to announce that they have taken the progressive step of banning animals from their boats. They have installed steel doors at all entrances where seals previously gained access, helping to prevent them from entering, and they will no longer feed animals or birds. We hope other boat operators will quickly follow suit and adopt similar measures.

We are excited to once again be able to actively sell and recommend Walvis Bay cruises, via Walvis bay Tours

Destination: Etosha National Park

Etosha National Park is one of Namibia's biggest attractions and is home to four of the Big Five, with the African buffalo being the only one absent. It is renowned for its abundant wildlife, which is easily spotted around the park's numerous waterholes.

The park is one of the largest national parks in Africa and the biggest in Namibia. One of the park's main characteristic is a salt pan so large it can be seen from space, During the rainy season, the pan attracts thousands of migratory birds, making it a spectacular destination for birdwatching as well as wildlife viewing.

Destination: Lüderitz and Kolmanskop

At first glance on a map, Lüderitz is easy to overlook when planning a Namibian holiday. However, for travellers with more time, returning visitors, or those wishing to explore the country's deep south, this charming coastal destination is a true hidden gem.

Lüderitz is a small seaside town with a rich history, reflected in its colourful German colonial architecture and unique atmosphere. It is also the only place in Namibia (specifically on its southern coast - on the Halifax Island) where you can see the Critically Endangered African penguin in its natural habitat.

Just a short drive from the town lies the famous Kolmanskop Ghost Town. Once a thriving diamond mining settlement, it now stands abandoned, with drifting desert sands reclaiming its buildings. Walking through its empty streets offers a fascinating glimpse into Namibia's diamond boom and the passage of time.

If you're fortunate, you may also spot Namibia's small population of wild desert horses. Descended from domesticated horses that escaped into the Namib Desert generations ago, these resilient animals have adapted remarkably to one of the world's harshest environments, becoming an iconic symbol of the region.
