LD Creations allows you to create your own and unique wedding or event style. We will liaise with all the service providers for your wedding or event, which means you only have to be in contact with us and not send out thousands of emails to all different suppliers which takes up a lot of time. We source recommended suppliers for you which we go through the steps to choose the perfect supplier to suit you. We not only offer logistical planning, but also décor styling which includes décor designing and sourcing. We can assist you in the following services:

LD Creations offers a complementary initial consultation in order to get to know you as a client better and to create a style for your wedding or event as well as choose the package which suits you best. Consultations must be pre-arranged with LD Creations and will be during office hours (08:00 – 17:00), if after hour consultation is required, it will be charged extra. LD Creations’ packages stipulate the total amount of hours we will work on your wedding or event. If you which to add extra hours or services, it will be charged extra. We allow unlimited emails and phone calls only during office hours if your Coordinator is available. We will do everything to suit your needs. Services excluded in packages but can be added with extra hours:
1. Sourcing accommodation for couple and guests
2. Overtime or extra hours added to package
3. Extra staff for set-up and breakdown
4. Handling of RSVP’s
5. Sending invitations and thank you notes
6. Sourcing treatments for bridal party
7. Collection and deliveries
8. Engagement parties
9. Hen party or bachelors
10. Assisting in honeymoon planning
11. Any other requirements that is excluded from the packages which you would like to add. Please note that delivery, collection and staff required is not included in this package as it is subject to change depending on guest count and amount of décor. Travel costs will also be added to the clients account if the wedding or event is taken place more than 50km from Windhoek.

I often get asked "when should I send out my invitations for my [event]? - it varies from event to event of what the proper etiquette is. I finally put it all in one place for reference. -bottom line: It's currently Mid- February. If you have an event between now and end of april, take a look at this chart to see of when you need to get the invites to your guests. **PLEASE remember to include time for your designer to create the design for your invitations and printing time

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

A customer asked me how much I would charge to decorate a venue?

My reply: $1500+ all depends
Her reply: WOW, just a couple tables, backdrop balloons centerpieces etc? Why so much?
My reply: Well, this estimate also includes for the non productive factors.
She questioned: What is nonproductive factors?"
My reply: Just the usually things like taxes, insurance, rent, gas etc.
I asked: How much do you think it should cost?
She responded matter-of-factly: Around $800 at the most... It's just tablecloths, balloons, panels,flowers and a fairly simple job right?
I calmly said: Okay ma'am, for $800 I invite you to do it yourself.
She said: But.... I don't know how to.
I replied: Okay, for $800 I'll teach you. So besides saving you $700, you'll get the knowledge for the next time.

It seemed right to her and she agreed.

I continued: To get started you will need tools, ladders, steamer, backdrop frame kits, airpump etc...
She said: But I don't have all this type of equipment and I can't afford to buy all of these things just for a One time Event.
I offered: Okay then, for an additional $200 I'll rent my equipment to you.

Okay, she says.

I replied: So on Tuesday I will be available to start teaching you.
She said: But I can't on Tuesday I only have time today.
I said: I'm sorry ma'am, but Tuesday is the only day this week that I will be available to teach and rent you my equipment. The rest of the week is already scheduled for other customers.
She exclaimed frustated: That means I gotta rearrange my schedule and sacrifice my whole Tuesday?!
I said: That is correct ma'am!
I will also provide you with a list of all the materials you will need to go to the store and shop online and the Balloon Distributer to purchase for this job.
Also, loading of the van for your job will take place Tuesday morning around 6am. After the project is complete, all equipment and tools need to be prep, washed and reloaded back onto the van.
She asked in disbelief: At 6am???
Nope! Way too early for me! So much work just to do decorate!
You know what, I've been doing some serious thinking and I've decided that it would be best if you just went ahead and did the job for me. $1500 seems fair now and I'd rather it be done right by true professionals.
