*Beware of Cholera*
Please wash your hands with soap and water frequently.
If possible, use alcoholic hand rubs.
Do not eat outside your house if the food is not HOT.
In your house, deploy the microwave if you think the food is not hot enough.
Do not drink water and juices from an open container...like a bowl and a cup especially in a public place. No!
Make sure the source of that water you want to drink is clean, safe and not likely to have been contaminated.
No Zobo drink at the moment.
No kunnu drink for now
No to Tiger nut drinks.
No to those locally brewed street drinks.
No to street herbal mixtures.
Avoid fruits that you cannot wash before eating.
Wash every fruit and vegetable thoroughly before you eat them.
Remember Cholera is on rampage and the risk of transmission will be increased at this moment because of the festivities.
Do not be deceived that it is only happening in Lagos.
Human traffic is very high at the moment because of the long holidays.
So it is expected to spread like wildfire, if we all do not consciously make efforts to curb it.
Make sure that piece of meat, that plate of rice, that bowl of pounded yam is HOT and not just warm!
Cholera kills very fast!!!
For those that manage to survive, the kidneys may not be the same ever again.
As deadly as cholera is, it is very preventable if we do due diligence.
In the case of cholera, dirt kills!!!!
Cleanliness is wellness.
