I joined a tour of the capital city organized by . It was an amazing experience. Our first stop was Usuma Dam.
Usuma Dam is located along the Dutse-Bwari road, FCT, Abuja. The ride to the dam was interesting and filled with laughter as everyone on the tour bus introduced themselves and played games during the journey.
The journey lasted for about 30 minutes from our take off point in Wuse 2. On arrival, our tour guide led us to the entry point. Usuma Dam is truly a beauty to behold. He narrated tales of the dam and took us on a hiking experience to the top of the rock. For easy access, there is a stairway leading to the top. This picturesque dam is the fifth largest in the world. (See my insta story for videos)

Apart from its main use which is water supply for the capital city, it is a major tourist attraction in Abuja. It is an ideal spot for hiking, fishing and picnicking with a view of the Usuma Lake.
