Mungo Park House

The Mungo Park house was built in 1886 by the Royal Niger Company, to commemorate the famous explorer Mungo Park. The structure served as the headquarters of the Royal Niger Company as well as the first government house in Nigeria. This historical masterpiece is located in the heart of Asaba Delta State. The monument of history, located at the bank of the River Niger.The Lander brothers Anchorage Asaba Delta State. Is believed to be the spot where Richard Lander and John his brother anchored during the colonisation of West Africa. This site comprises of the European cemetery with Epitaphs explaining that these tombs contains the remains of European explorers and colonial pioneers who died in the 18th century.
