What Is Heroes’ Square (Now Ndubuisi Kanu’s Square)
Originally called Heroes’ Square, also referred to as Ojukwu’s Center, this is a park in New Owerri featuring a mini-stadium and towering statues of celebrated African and Nigerian leaders. It was commissioned by former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha to honor figures who made notable contributions to their nations and the continent .

Notable statues include Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Tafawa Balewa, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Dr. Akanu Ibiam, Chief Sam Mbakwe, and others.

Mount Mulanje (also known as Mulanje Massif) is the highest mountain in Malawi and one of the most impressive natural landmarks in southern Africa.



🌄 Quick Facts about Mount Mulanje:
• Location: Southern Malawi, near the town of Mulanje, close to the Mozambique border.
• Highest Peak: Sapitwa Peak – 3,002 meters (9,849 feet), the tallest in south-central Africa.
• Range: Part of the Mulanje Massif, a huge granite inselberg rising dramatically above the surrounding plains.

• 🌿 Biodiversity hotspot – home to rare plants and animals, like the Mulanje cedar (Malawi’s national tree).
• ⛰️ Trekking destination – popular with hikers and climbers, with routes ranging from moderate to challenging.
