The Consul General spoke on Enugu's Fast-improving Investment Environment under His Excellency, Governor Peter Mbah, He also led the German Government and Business Community to Enugu to strengthen economic cooperation and key into the Opportunities.

The 2024 Enugu Women August Meeting, hosted at Okpara Square by Her Excellency Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah was indeed an unforgettable experience filled with inspiration, education, and celebration.

Over 1,000 women from across Enugu State came together to celebrate the unity, strength and resilience of Women.

The event had as its special guest of honour, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu (represented by Her Excellency, Hajia Nana Shettima) who addressed the women on the need for collective action against abuse and violence.

Her Excellency Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah, in her address, emphasised the importance of women’s empowerment and our collective responsibility to create a safe and supportive environment for all.

From exhibitions showcasing Enugu state's rich agricultural products, march past performances by women of all the local governments in the state and other women organisations to discussions on health and safety, this meeting reinforced Enugu as a hub of culture, strength, and progress.

The event was concluded with distribution of gifts and resources by Her Excellency, Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah, to support Enugu women and their families, mainly targeting indigent women.

Events like these put Enugu on the map as a destination for impactful gatherings, where tourism and community come together.

Exciting news! The State Government, through the Tourism Board, has awarded a contract for the first phase of Enugu City Beautification and Roundabout Scheme.

The Executive Chairman Enugu State Tourism Board Dame Rita Mbah says this initiative is geared towards giving the city a facelift as well as improving the city's ambiance from the airport into Enugu City.

His Excellency the Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, accompanied by the Executive Chairman of the Tourism Board Dame Rita Mbah, took out time over the weekend to visit some of the parks in Enugu - Nnaji Park in New Haven, Ejindu Park in Coal Camp, as well as Ngwo Park and Eze Park in Uwani.

These parks served not only as breeding grounds for sporting talents, they also served as melting pots where Enugu residents mingle with Ndi Ogbe.

We plan to revitalise and bring back the allure of the parks once again, as we work to reposition 042 as the choice destination for business, investment, tourism, leisure, and living.

After all, all work without play, makes Jack a dull boy.
