TOURING HON. OLOWA'S IBEJU-LEKKI LOCAL GOVERNMENT SECRETARIAT IN IGANDO-OLOJA.

This four-part video series is deliberately titled to reflect Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa's clear vision for transparent, people-centered leadership and sustainable development in Ibeju-Lekki.

The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Secretariat in Igando-Oloja stands as a shining example of visionary leadership, infrastructure renewal, and commitment to effective governance under Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area in Lagos State.

Located at Kilometer 47 along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Igando-Oloja, this ultra-modern administrative headquarters serves as the central hub for the council's operations. It houses key facilities including the executive offices, legislative chambers, administrative blocks, and supporting infrastructure that enable seamless service delivery to residents of one of Lagos State's largest and fastest-growing local government areas.

What makes this secretariat particularly noteworthy is that it was built from scratch under Hon. Olowa's administration. Construction commenced with a groundbreaking ceremony in February 2023, following the unfortunate destruction of the previous facility (reportedly during the protests). Hon. Olowa prioritized rebuilding a more modern, functional, and resilient complex to meet the demands of a rapidly developing region known as Lagos' industrial hub.

Key highlights of the project include:
• An ultra-modern administrative building designed for efficiency and professionalism.
• A purpose-built legislative chamber to support the 10th Legislative Council.
• Associated infrastructure such as interlocking roads (including a 400m Babajide Sanwo-Olu secretariat road)
• Ongoing housing Development projects in the vicinity.

The completed complex was inaugurated by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who commissioned the new secretariat, legislative chamber, and interlocking road projects—marking a major milestone in restoring and elevating administrative capacity in Ibeju-Lekki.

Today, the secretariat hosts numerous activities: stakeholder meetings, traditional council meetings, community events, courtesy visits by dignitaries and public programs that aligns with the chairman's S.H.I.E.E.L.D. agenda (focusing on Security, Health, Infrastructure, Education, Environment, Local Economy, Digital governance, and Civil Participation).

This facility symbolizes Hon. Olowa's dedication to infrastructural development, transparency, and grassroots progress. By investing in a state-of-the-art seat of local government from the ground up, his administration has provided a solid foundation for governance, service delivery, and the overall transformation of Ibeju-Lekki into a more prosperous and organized area. Residents and stakeholders frequently highlight it as a proud achievement that reflects effective leadership and a forward-thinking vision for the community.
