Japa Matters 🇳🇬✈️
One conversation I keep having almost every day is with people who desperately want to japa. And honestly, I understand why. Everyone wants better opportunities and a better quality of life.
But here is the reality that many people don’t want to hear…
A lot of people want work visas to countries like Canada, the UK, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and Schengen countries, yet they have little or no travel history, no educational qualifications, no in demand skills, incomplete documents, and sometimes not even a functioning bank account.
The difficult truth is that these countries don’t just hand out work visas because someone wants to relocate. In fact, even tourist and student visa applications from Nigerians often go through strict scrutiny, and approval is never guaranteed.
As travel consultants, when we explain these realities, some people immediately assume we don’t know what we’re doing. They expect a 100% visa guarantee from someone who isn’t the embassy or the immigration office.
The truth is, no genuine travel consultant can honestly guarantee you a visa.
Sadly, many people prefer sweet promises and empty assurances over honest advice. That’s one of the reasons so many people end up falling into the hands of scammers who promise “sure visas” and “100% guaranteed approval.”
Visa applications have procedures. They require planning, preparation, and patience. Even with complete documentation, nobody can promise approval because the final decision always rests with the visa officer.
If your profile isn’t particularly strong yet, maybe you don’t have travel history, your finances are not stable enough, or your documents are not in order, it may be wiser to start small.
Visit countries that have relatively easier visa processes. Explore some African countries, selected Asian destinations, or certain non Schengen European countries. Build your travel history, strengthen your finances, organize your documents, and improve your overall profile.
Not everyone has to start with Canada or the UK.
And if that’s your dream, that’s perfectly fine too, but go into the process well informed, properly prepared, and with realistic expectations.
There’s nothing wrong with dreaming big. Just make sure you’re also planning wisely.
The goal isn’t just to japa. The goal is to do it the right way.
