*Pregnancy And Air Travel: Rules A Bump Carrier Need To Know

Most airlines allow pregnant travelers to fly without restrictions up to around 28 weeks. After that, you’ll usually need a doctor’s letter confirming you’re fit to fly, and by 36 weeks, many airlines will no longer allow travel.

However, Emirates and Etihad permit travel up to 36 weeks for single pregnancies (with a note required after 29 weeks), while British Airways and KLM have similar policies, requiring documentation from 28 weeks.

To avoid last-minute stress, always check your airline’s pregnancy policy before booking your flight.

*UAE Imposes New Visa Restrictions on Nigerian Citizens.

Effective July 9, 2025, the United Arab Emirates has tightened visa requirements for Nigerian nationals. Travelers aged 18 to 45 are no longer eligible for tourist visas when traveling alone. They must be accompanied or travel as part of a group.

This comes shortly after the United States announced similar measures, limiting Nigerian non-immigrant visas to single entry with a 3-month validity.

In recent times, Nigerians have faced increasing visa restrictions from several countries, raising concerns about growing global travel barriers for Nigerian passport holders.

We strongly advise all intending travelers to take note of these changes before making any travel arrangements.
