One of the fastest ways to dilute a business is trying to serve everyone.
At first, it feels smart, more people, more opportunities, more revenue.

But over time, it creates confusion.
Your messaging becomes unclear.
Your systems become stretched.
Your standards start to drop.

I’ve seen businesses struggle, not because they lacked skill, but because they lacked focus.
Here’s what changed everything for me:
I stopped asking,
“How can we get more clients?”
And started asking,
“Which clients are we actually built for?”

That one question forces clarity.
Because different clients require different things:
Different expectations
Different pricing tolerance
Different levels of service

You can’t optimize for all of them at once.
At your Organizations, you should be intentional.
You align with organizations that value:
structure
reliability
and long-term thinking

That alignment makes everything else easier, pricing, delivery, growth.

The truth is:

Let us address something that quietly destroys businesses before they ever scale.

Chronic underpricing.

And no, it is not always a strategy.
Sometimes, it is fear dressed up as “being reasonable.”
I’ve heard it all:
“Let me just get the client first…”
“I’ll increase the price later…”
“People in this market can’t afford more…”

But here is what actually happens:
You attract clients who do not respect the value.
You build a model that can’t sustain quality.
And eventually, you burn out trying to overdeliver on underpaid work.

Pricing is not just a number.
It is a signal.

It tells the market:
Who you serve
What you stand for
And what kind of results you are built to deliver.

The mindset shift is that, you’re not being paid for the task.

You’re being paid for:
The thinking behind it
The systems supporting it
And the risk you remove for the client

Law 2:

But when it comes to building something of their own… everything stalls.

Why?

Because capacity without structure is chaos in disguise.

In aviation, systems had to work—every single time.
No guesswork. No vibes. Just precision.
That experience rewired how I see business.
