When it comes to Canada PR, your age actually matters because Canada uses a points based system called Express Entry.

Applicants between 20 and 29 years old get the highest age points because they are considered to have more long term economic potential.

Once you cross 29, the points gradually reduce. By 45 and above, you no longer receive age points under Express Entry.

But this does not automatically mean you cannot qualify for Canada PR. Other things like work experience, education, language test scores, spouse profile, and provincial nominations can still strengthen an application.

Now when it comes to tourist visas like Schengen, UK, Canada visitor visas, or Australia visitor visas, age is usually not the main deciding factor.

Embassies look more at your overall profile. Your purpose of travel, finances, ties to your home country, travel history, and how consistent your documents are matter much more.

So yes, age can matter for immigration pathways like Canada PR because of the points system.

But for tourist visas, your application strength matters more than your birth year.

A Schengen visa may allow multiple entries, but you can only stay for a total of 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across Schengen countries. That means every day you spend in countries like France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and others counts toward that limit.
