BENUE LINKS NIGERIA LIMITED RECEIVES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE FROM MBADEDE DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION.

The Management of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, under the leadership of the General Manager, Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa KSM MNIM, has received a vote of confidence from the Mbadede Development Association, Makurdi Branch, in recognition of the company’s innovative leadership, improved and affordable transport services, as well as infrastructural transformation under the present administration.

The commendation was made on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, when a delegation of the Association, led by its Chairman, Pastor Robert Angou, paid a courtesy visit to the corporate headquarters of Benue Links Nigeria Limited.

Speaking during the visit, Pastor Angou commended the Management for its dedication to providing efficient, reliable and affordable transport services to the people of Benue State and beyond.

He noted that the various fare-reduction initiatives introduced by the company had helped to cushion the effect of the removal of fuel subsidy and made transportation more affordable for the people.

According to him, the initiatives and other achievements recorded by Benue Links had contributed significantly to building public confidence in the administration of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia.

Pastor Angou encouraged the General Manager and his management team to remain committed to their duties and continue to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, dedication, enthusiasm and humility.

Other members of the delegation, including the Vice Chairman, Sir Ager Richard; Baba Tihi Umah; Lady Susan Achiaga; and Elder Augustine Agwar, in their separate remarks, applauded the achievements of the Fanafa-led Management and urged the team to sustain its support for the administration of Governor Alia and the development of the state.

Also speaking, the Finance Manager of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, Dr. David Yimam, highlighted some of the major achievements recorded by the present Management. He reiterated the commitment of the company to continuously explore innovative strategies for improving its services, infrastructure and overall operational efficiency.

Responding, the General Manager, Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa KSM MNIM, expressed profound gratitude to God Almighty for the honour and recognition.

He also appreciated the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for the confidence reposed in him and the opportunity to serve the people of the state through his leadership of Benue Links Nigeria Limited.

Comrade Fanafa described the recognition by the Mbadede Development Association as both humbling and motivating, assuring the delegation that the honour would further strengthen his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote unity, development, peace and the wellbeing of the people.

He charged the Mbadede people to take the message of development and good governance to the grassroots, urging them to remain united and continue to support initiatives aimed at transforming the state.

He particularly called for support for Governor Alia’s 2027 re-election bid, stressing that continuity in governance was essential for sustaining the development initiatives of the state.

In his vote of thanks, the Assistant General Manager, Bro. Francis Ujah CNA, appreciated the Mbadede Development Association for recognising and honouring the General Manager, noting that the recognition was, by extension, an honour to the Management and entire staff of Benue Links Nigeria Limited.

He pledged the continued loyalty and commitment of the staff of the company to the administration of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, describing the administration’s investments and interventions as instrumental to the revival and transformation of the state-owned transport company.

The highlight of the occasion was the formal presentation of an award of honour to Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa, with the prestigious title “Huror U Mbadede U Mimi,” by the Mbadede Development Association.

As a mark of honour, The Association dressed the General Manager in traditional attires, and also presented a basket of fruits and a live goat to the General Manager as additional tokens of appreciation and goodwill.

BENUE LINKS GENERAL MANAGER URGES BENUE PEOPLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FINAL DAYS OF CONTINUOUS VOTER REGISTRATION.

The General Manager of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa KSM MNIM, has called on the people of Benue State to ensure they register in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise as the two-week extension granted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) comes to an end on Sunday, 26th July, 2026.

Comrade Fanafa noted that the nationwide CVR exercise, which commenced on 18th August, 2025, was originally scheduled to end on 10th July, 2026, but was extended by INEC following a review of the exercise and feedback received from its State Offices, political parties, civil society organisations and other stakeholders. The extension, he said, provides another opportunity for all eligible Nigerians who are yet to register to be included in the National Register of Voters ahead of future elections.

He urged the people of Benue State, particularly the Benue Links Community and the people Katsina-Ala Local Government Area to make the most of the remaining days of the exercise—Saturday, 25th July and Sunday, 26th July, 2026—by visiting designated registration centres and INEC offices across the state to register or complete their registration.

The General Manager also encouraged first-time voters to take advantage of INEC's newly introduced self-service online registration platform at cvr.inecnigeria.org, which allows eligible citizens to initiate and complete their voter registration process, including biometric capture, using their personal devices. He noted that the innovation is part of INEC's commitment to improving accessibility, service delivery and the overall voter registration experience through technology while maintaining robust identity verification and biometric validation to safeguard the credibility of the National Register of Voters.

Comrade Fanafa stressed that voter registration is both a civic responsibility and a constitutional right, adding that only registered voters can actively participate in choosing credible leaders who will deliver meaningful development and good governance.

He concluded by urging the people of Benue State to continue to keep faith with the administration of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, whose impressive record of infrastructural and human capital development across the state, demonstrates purposeful leadership and a commitment to the progress and prosperity of Benue State.

The Management and Staff of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, under the leadership of the General Manager, Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa KSM MNIM, heartily welcome the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON, to Benue State on the occasion of her official visit scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

We are delighted to receive Her Excellency in Benue State as she continues to champion programmes and initiatives aimed at empowering women, strengthening families and improving the welfare of vulnerable groups across the nation through the Renewed Hope Initiative.

From the donation of over 100 buses and haulage vans, with additional new vehicles subsequently added to the fleet, to the expansion of routes connecting Benue's vibrant communities and the commencement of haulage services, the Alia administration has transformed the fortunes of the company. The acquisition of permanent parks in Abuja FCT, Zaki-Biam, Adikpo and Ihugh, alongside the upgrading of existing parks and operational facilities, has further strengthened the company's capacity to serve the travelling public efficiently.

BENUE LINKS NIGERIA LIMITED RECEIVES PROMOTIONAL SOUVENIRS FROM EVANGELIST MUCHMORE AKASE ISAAC AND DOOSHIMA CARE FOUNDATION.

The Management of Benue Links Nigeria Limited has received promotional souvenirs such as branded T-shirts and face caps from the duo of Evangelist Muchmore Akase Isaac and the Dooshima Care Foundation.

The presentation of the materials took place on Monday, 8th June, 2026, at the corporate headquarters of the company in Makurdi, Benue State.

Evangelist Muchmore Akase, while making the presentation on behalf of his ministry and the Dooshima Care Foundation, founded by Dr. Betty Kajo, a US-based humanitarian, stated that the gesture was aimed at appreciating the state-owned transport company for its affordable and far-reaching transport services to the people of Benue State and beyond.

He noted that the company’s various intervention programmes, such as subsidised transport fares, the 50% fare reduction policy for Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWDs), and seasonal fare reductions during festive periods, have significantly improved the livelihoods of Benue citizens. He further observed that these initiatives have helped cushion the impact of fuel subsidy removal on the people.

He also commended the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for his support to the state-owned transport company, which has contributed significantly to empowering it to deliver effective services to the people of the state.

The Assistant General Manager of the company, Bro. Francis Ujah CNA, while receiving the items on behalf of the organisation, expressed profound appreciation to Evangelist Muchmore Akase Isaac and Dr. Betty Kajo, founder of the Dooshima Care Foundation, for the thoughtful gesture.

He attributed the achievements of the company, which continue to be recognized and appreciated by members of the public, to the support of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, who, according to him, has not only revived the company but also ensured it is well-equipped to serve the people of Benue State and beyond.

BENUE LINKS NIGERIA LIMITED REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO FLEET MAINTENANCE AND PASSENGER SAFETY.

Benue Links Nigeria Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to the frequent and proper maintenance of its fleet, as well as the prioritisation of passenger safety at all times.

The General Manager of the company, Comrade Alexander Aondohemba Fanafa KSM MNIM, made this known while featuring on ON-THE-LINE, an audience participatory programme on Radio Benue, on Saturday, 6th June, 2026, where he discussed the topic: Fleet Maintenance, Passenger Safety and Revenue Sustainability.

Comrade Fanafa stated that the current management of the company under his leadership has made vehicle maintenance a top priority, a development that has significantly reduced the incidence of vehicle breakdowns on the highway.

He further emphasized that passenger safety remains a core focus of the company, noting that Benue Links has strengthened its collaboration with relevant security agencies, while also intensifying training programmes for drivers and other operational staff to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.

The General Manager appreciated the support of the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for ensuring the sustainability of the company by reviving and repositioning it to effectively deliver on its mandate. He disclosed that the company recently acquired a new coaster bus with plans to bring in more soon, in addition to 35 buses already procured to further expand its fleet, aside from the 100 buses initially donated by the Governor.

He also stated that a brand-new haulage store, equipped with fire-preventive measures, has been constructed by the State Government to strengthen the logistics and haulage arm of the company.

He therefore advised customers to ensure that all waybills are processed strictly through the Haulage Department, rather than being handed to unauthorized persons within the park.

Comrade Fanafa further encouraged esteemed passengers to utilize the feedback channels provided in all company vehicles to submit their observations on the company’s services, assuring that management under his leadership will continue to strive for continuous improvement in service delivery.

Callers during the programme commended the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, and the management of Benue Links Nigeria Limited under the leadership of Comrade Fanafa, for the significant strides recorded since the current administration came on board.
