A lot of you misunderstood my previous video. I am not defending criminals or criminal activities in our society. The justice system of Nigeria should prosecute anyone found guilty, and everyone should face the consequences of their actions.

My concern is about some of the statements our leaders are making. The problem is not only about the criminal elements in our communities. Our leaders need to channel their energy toward the real security crisis affecting Benue State.

If there are criminal elements in our communities, I believe the state government and security agencies can flush them out. But we should not lose focus on the larger security problem that has continued to cost thousands of lives in Benue State.

Our traditional rulers can also do better. I believe that with the right leadership, determination and coordinated security efforts, criminal elements can be dealt with within a reasonable period.

Let us stop shifting attention and channel our energy toward the main security challenges facing our people.

This is what you should expect when the leaders have failed and traditional rulers have also failed the people. Imagine addressing the people in the presence of security personnel and telling them that “bad elements in the society” went to attack and kill the Fulanis, instead of confronting the real security crisis and demanding justice for every innocent life lost. Leadership should be about protecting lives, speaking the truth, and holding perpetrators accountable—regardless of who they are.

From the Benue State Government to the Ukum Local Government Council Chairman, our Senator representing Zone A, and other political leaders—our people deserve better.

Ukum is bleeding, communities are under attack, lives are being lost, homes are being destroyed, and families are running for their lives. This is not the time for silence or political excuses. Our people need action, protection, and leadership.

How long will our cries continue to fall on deaf ears? 💔
