Can You Do Business? 11/06/2016
'Femi-Royal | Audible-Author Collections | femiroyal.wordpress.com

Quite a number of people ask themselves this question. Some of them are still hoping they would get answers in the future while others have concluded that they can't. When I related some people in the category that believe they can't do business, they made me understand that they don't have what it takes.

What does it take to start a business? Before we discuss that, let me first remind you that business is simply buying and selling of either products or services and anyone who engages in this activity is regarded as an entrepreneur.

Dr Rob said what makes a business succeed are passion and determination, relationship-building skills and hardworking and as long as you genuinely want to succeed, you will.

Entrepreneurs are not mavericks set apart from the rest of humanity like the media portray them to be. They just decided to carefully build a system around their products and services i.e Dangote built a factory (system) to manufacture and supply Cement (product). Ibunkun Awosika, built a factory to supply chairs and security doors. The average fashion designer has a shop with machines to sew clothes and is paid for this.

So long you have a service to offer i.e laundry, car wash, barbing, sewing, writing or a product i.e biscuits, clothes, cements etc, you can do business.

You must however commit to get started in this bid while you nurture your idea. You either create a blue ocean i.e build a new market or modify an existing products/service. Investigation of market trends, niches and opportunities should be given priority to so you know if your products/services are needed where you want to pitch your business.

I will take you through business enterprise development for the next 5 days like we discussed communication in the last 5 days. Feel free to contact us at *McRoyal-Consults* if you are a budding entrepreneur or you are new to business. We have answers to almost all your questions.

Contact us and you will be glad you did:

My blueprint for Change: A must read for GMB by Femi Royal.

As a Nigerian, who has had terrible experiences characterised by tough sufferings due to the harsh actions of government on my parents having to retrench him not considering the fact that he was a bread winner. I think I have the slightest idea of what the average Nigerian request of the government. I hope to define it through this piece.

WE ARE MARCHING ON!.........Top-Notch Writers Org. (TWO-Networks).

No man can discourage you if your vision is backed by God, you will drive it passionately and you will still succeed.

In 2010, when Top-Notch Writers Organisation a.k.a TWO-Networks had one of her inaugural meetings while kick-starting, one of the attendees made some very discouraging points that were very demeaning. I was cut to heart, almost shedding tears.

Its been about 5years ago, I had actually forgotten about it and drove on with my other partners. Recently, while opening up our archives of 5 years ago in preparation for our next 5 years, Alas! I found the paper where my brother wrote all his comments, feel like sharing it, have a look:

After I presented the vision, his observations were that it was: (originally written)
1. Money oriented
2. No definite goals and time bound
3. No vision (no focus, cultism). Too many dreams
4. No integrity (by the leader)
5. Wrong meeting time
6. Lack of challenging Leadership
7. Lack of 'a prayer' foundation
8. Too shabby (approach)

As a young man who just got into the university who prior to this, read the book, 'Positive Mental Attitude by Napoleon Hill'. I felt very bad hearing so much of a discouraging words from a colleague who felt he was a bit better than I am having much experience as well.

I didn't cry anyway, I have learnt not to cry in public even on my mum's burial, doesn't make me a hard man neither does it make me weak, just my decision. I was discouraged for more than 2 months putting to halt all plans though I took note of his points which had facts but sounded destructive. I worked on them all the way to the glory of God.

My friends felt my pains back then and two of them vowed to be supportive and till date, Olokunde Lanre and Oluwaponmile Orija have formed the Board of Trustees of our esteemed organisation which has grown to be one of the leading organisations on various campuses especially in Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

She host one of the largest gartherings of students every year at the Presidential debate. She has produced members with greart values who have served and have made clear differences during their service year.

When I went through her database, she has had close to 1000 members while she has hosted and impacted directly and indirectly about 20,000 students through her programs and publications across the world including Ghana, Pakistan, United Kingdom, Liberia and USA in the last 5 years.

Fellowship presidents, executives and members have participated in our programs, I remember in 2012 when 2014 NIFES current president participated in our debate/quiz and essay contest featured on OGTV and proudly supported by FUNAAB Management especially publicising it on their website.

Great lads and lasses that occupy various key positions in FUNAABSU et al have had interactions with our organisation including the current SUG President (Hollar Hollar) and 2 presidents before him (P.Kennie and Loco) through our presidential debate supported by the Union.

This is aside the fact that some of our members have emerged political office holders like Phunmi (VP), Official (Gen sec) AZ (PRO), In UI, some of our members have held offices in their departments and faculties like Disu and Tanitoluwa Prudence etc even in OAU, one of us emerged the president of English department (Nelson) among others. Lauctech is not left behind and the list goes on and on.

I am happy that the discouragement last five years did not prevail. We have done a little and we still hope to do more as we launch our NGO office in preparation for our 5th year Anniversary. God is on our side. We still need y'all's support. God bless you all. Cheers!

In a country that is bedeviled with the problem of leadership, Its time to welcome the birth of a piece that is capable of changing the world if properly utilised for the purpose of which it is meant.

On behalf of my family and friends who stood by me to make this a reality, I present to you the book, 'THE EXCEPTIONAL LEADER", authored by Aliu Oluwafemi-Royal.

Since the completion of the Students Leadership Conference where the book was presented, I have been receiving messages from readers that they have been exceedingly blessed by its content.

My young protégées here in Nigeria and in the UK were happy when they read it.

I like to inform you that the resources committed to the book production is quite enormous but its my little way of contributing to national development.

Well, even in Freetown, nothing is free... I have decided to give it out at the token price of #250...too cheap you might say, Yes! because the value cannot be compared to the price but like i said its my little way of contributing to national development.

The book, "THE EXCEPTIONAL LEADER" covers issues on the type of leadership that works, why leadership matters, qualities of an exceptional leader, values, principles, skills and challenges of exceptional leadership.

It is indeed a must read...you don't wanna miss out on the quality of the 80 paged book....

Marketers and distributors are needed for the book with good incentives attached. Contact me on +234 813 736 5526 or +234 811 243 6900 to get details...

FUNAABSU PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE 2014.

Thanks to God for allowing us make a landmark achievement in the milieu of FUNAAB.

Since the completion of the program hosted by Top-Notch Writers Org. at JAO 3 on Monday, i have been receiving calls from different corners, even as far as UNIBADAN to commend us for a job welldone.

I refuse to take all the credits as i honor those who made the day from the league of supporters (VC, DVC (DEV),DSA, CSO, Dir, CENTS, DEAN, COLAMRUD, Dir, PPRO, The Nations, Dir, FUNAAB RADIO, Dr Odeyemi, OBAMA, LOCO, EXHIBIT, BIGBRODA) to the Local Organising Committee, Partnering Organizations (African Liberty Student Org, Future Savers Club, Taqwa Station, Idea Processing Nig, Funaab juice), the Electoral Committee, LOC secretaries & treasurer, the EMCEES, the strongest microcosm of the LOC (The Panel) and everyone that played a key role or the other during and after the program.

As jampacked as the hall was, i appreciate funaabites for giving us a peaceful atmosphere.

As i listened to the audio of the program, i giggled, chuckled & at some point laughed and smiled at the comments, arguments otherwise known as debates of our aspirants. I won't say more than that but as we gave our aspirants quality platforms to express themselves on the same level and show erudite of FUNAAB what they've got to offer. I believe we would make the right choices as we utilise our franchise at the polling booth on the 27th of Feb at MP 01 as it is our right to choose those who lead us.

As i end this note, i appreaciate you all that came to grace our occassion. You might have some comments to make on the program or questions to ask me. Kindly contact me. Thanks.

Chairman, Local Organising Committee of 2013/2014 SUG Presidential Debate.
