Hon. Abiodun OJO the honorable commissioner for culture and tourism has congratulated the people of Osun State on the 32nd anniversary of the state's creation. He described the over three decades of the existence of Osun State as a great achievement of heroes past and present who love and cherish the cultural value of the people of Osun.

His statement reads;
"I congratulate the Governor H.E Sen. Ademola Adeleke and the people of Osun State on this occasion of our 32nd anniversary of creation. I equally thank all the heroes past and present who labored for the creation of what we have today as Osun State which is directly the representation of who we are and the core values of our heritage.
May I use this opportunity to beg all sons and daughters of Osun State both home and abroad to cultivate a habit of respect for our culture and black heritage.
I pray to God Almighty Eledumare to continue to uphold the state and keep blessing us with unity, peace, and love to be able to develop at the right pace".

Hon. Abiodun OJO, the honorable commissioner for Culture and Tourism has during the official courtesy visit of Mr. James Christoff the Canadian High Commissioner to the Government of Osun State presented the economic potentials and partnership opportunities of Osun state culture and tourism industry.

Hon. Abiodun during his presentation in the presence of the Deputy Governor of Osun State Prince Kola Adewusi highlighted notable cultural and tourist centers in Osun State some of which he has taken Mr. Christoff to in the last 48 hours. He reiterated the commitment of the Osun State government to put in place everything needed to partner with the government and the investors from Canada.

While reacting, the Canadian High Commissioner to Nigeria, James Christoff said, with what he has seen in the course of his visit to various cultural and tourist sites in the state and today's presentations by the working team of the Osun state Governor, he is more than pleased to say that Osun State is safe to partner with in all sectors. He promised to advise the government and people of Canada to invest in the growing Osun State economy.

Mr. Christoff further commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for his commitment to the improvement of state global investment and economic improvement opportunities, he assured the Osun state government of a working relationship with proper follow-up and feedback.

The Deputy Governor Osun State Prince Kola Adewusi who represented the Governor urged the High Commissioner and his team to ensure proper and timely implementation of all identified possible areas of partnership noting that Osun State is ready to put in place everything required of the state to achieve a working collaboration.

Other Notable members of the Osun State team present are, the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, Commission for Agriculture Hon. Tola Faseru; Commissioner for Innovation, Science, Communication and Technology Hon Maruff Ayodele Ayofe, Special Adviser Global Investment to the Governor Hon Yemi Owolade and Special Adviser to the Governor on Mining and minerals resources Prof Lukman Jimoda who also made presentations on other areas of opportunity for investment in Osun state.

Hon. Abiodun OJO the Honorable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Osun State has said that Osun State Government is more than ready to invest big in the State tourism industry to improve the internally generated revenue and general economy of the state.

He made these remarks yesterday morning while featuring in the Morning Springs show where the matter of public importance is being discussed on Wester Springs television Osogbo.

The Commissioner congratulated the traditionalist in the state on their 2023 annual ISESE DAY celebration and commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for his belief and commitment toward turning Osun State into one of the best places when it comes to tourism attractions and potential.

He noted that efforts are ongoing by the concerned ministry to fix all roads access to all our tourist centers in the state and that the master plan of what we want as a State is in the process to meet up with the world-class standard.

He said,
"The Governor who is the pilot of the state has a good interest in the tourism industry of the state, he has been well-briefed on the current situation, economy and environmental potentials, opportunities, and possible investment needed to have a world-class tourism center across the state. He has directed every concerned ministry and agency to get to work to achieve our goals.

I can tell you that, we have identified all the problems affecting our tourism sites and we have equally itemized solutions to them.
We have done a site inspection to carry out a potential assessment of our sites, as I speak to you here, the RAMP department has been mobilized to start fixing all roads in our sites, all communal crises in our host communities are already resolved, and security measures are in top gear, consultations are also ongoing on the best hospitality management and maintenance practice to be employed.

We, therefore call for partnerships and investors across the globe to fast-track this project, it's an investment that is worth doing.
These and many more are what we are doing to achieve the set target", he concluded.

When asked about culture and traditional worshipers/religion, he said culture is the identity of wherever we come from and traditional worshiping is a choice of the way to reach God Almighty by anyone who believes and has faith in such practice.

The honorable commissioner concluded by thanking all the residents of Osun State and the three recognized religions in the state for the peaceful coexistence we enjoy in the state and appealed to all to maintain the gesture because we all have the same identity which is OSUN STATE and it is our collective responsibility to protect our identity.
