A 'private jet' for the price of economy! Holidaymaker has ENTIRE plane to himself on flight to idyllic island after no one else booked a ticket.

A lucky holidaymaker didn’t have to worry about annoying seatmates, crying babies or a lack of space on his flight to an idyllic island – he had the entire plane to himself.

Alex Simon, 28, basically had his own private jet, as he was the only passenger who showed up for a Philippine Airlines flight from Manila to Boracay.

The travel blogger, who lives in Ischgl, Austria, was stunned when no one else boarded the twin turboprop – leaving him alone with two flight attendants and two pilots.

Simon shot footage on board the domestic flight and even had a chance to enter the cockpit and chat with the pilots before the plane took off.

Simon told MailOnline Travel: ‘When I arrived to the airport I just heard my name on the speaker, "Sir Alexander Simon, please come to the information."

‘So the lady explained to me that I don’t need to wait two more hours on my connecting flight, we’re gonna start in 30 minutes because there are no more passengers except me.

He said: 'It was an unforgettable feeling to take a flight to the one of the most beautiful islands of the world, but to be alone and feel like a superstar it made it more special.'

Abuja — Nigeria Government has threatened punitive action against international airline operators that flout local immigration regulations.

Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika, warned such companies of "dire consequences."

"Government cannot continue to condone the practice of subjecting Nigerians to all forms of suffering," the minister said.

"... either by making them walk long distances before boarding or using small aircrafts that would not carry them along with their luggage to their destinations."

Sirika said the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) had been directed to invoke all relevant laws to protect the interest and rights of Nigerians and others from being flagrantly abused the airlines.

The minister spoke in Abuja where he met a delegation from the Emirates Group.

He meanwhile assured that the on-going construction of the second terminal at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja would be ready before the end of the year.

He stated that its completion would improve the comfort and convenience of both airline operators and the flying public.

As es**rt and author Amanda Brooks commented on Twitter today, "trafficker is the new terrorist" in America. The spectre of s*x trafficking is providing the Department of Homeland Security with new cover to push citizens who "see something" to "say something" and urge hospitality workers to turn in "suspicious" patrons. And it's giving non-white airline passengers a new reason to fear detainment at the hands of government officials. The latest example comes out of New York, where an entire plane was detained while an in*******al couple—the woman Asian American, the man Puerto Rican—were questioned by Port Authority police officers over suspected s*x trafficking.

The couple, Kathleen Chan and Jay Serrano, are residents of Astoria, Queens, who were returning from a holiday trip to the Dominican Republic. When their American Airlines flight landed at JFK Airport, the flight captain asked everyone to stay seated. After about 20 minutes, three armed Port Authority police officers entered the plane and asked Chan to es**rt them outside, she said.

"Flight Attendants and airline employees will be the 'boots in the air' fighting human trafficking," say federal officials.

In case “coach” didn’t sound low-brow enough, airlines have come up with a new, unofficial seating category: “last class.”
There, passengers’ seats are unassigned and crowded closely together. The tickets are cheap, but they can’t be exchanged or refunded. And most extras, like baggage, come with a fee, according to USA Today.
Airlines including Delta and American Airlines have announced they would be selling the bare-bones tickets in order to compete with the growing popularity of budget airlines like Spirit and Frontier. These airlines offer low-cost tickets to customers in exchange for minimal customer service and unreliability. In October, Spirit flights had the lowest on-time arrival rate among the major American carriers, falling below 80%. Spirit and Frontier had the highest rate of complaints in the industry.
