Research shows that countries with a more open and sustainable tourism sector tend to be more peaceful.

A sustainable and open tourism sector brings about a higher level of positive peace in the attitudes of people, institutions, and structures that create and sustain peace in those countries. Therefore, there is an urgent need for policies that would drive peace, integration, and cooperation in the region.

This is what our South-South Tourism Roundtable intends to achieve through collaborative efforts among critical stakeholders in the region to grow the tourism sector. Your views are welcome.
