Finca Ometepe is now growing organic wheat! As you can see, harvesting is a human-intensive process, with the wheat being first cut by machete, then dried in the sun. After it is a little dry, the wheat sheaths are beaten against a rock to break free the grains, then dried further in the sun. Finally, we grind it and make it into bread! YUM!

Misse (with the moustache) and Kisse (with the white face) are two darling little girl kitties we rescued this month when their owner was moving back to the United States and couldn't bring them with her! They are FUN, and getting more loving every day! Come visit them!
