We've been amazed at how stunning the coastline of Turkey is. SOOO many places to stop and visit! I have had such FOMO and trouble figuring out where to go because there are so many amazing choices. Again, if you have never been to Turkey, I highly recommend it for the mix of culture, ruins/history and coastline. You won't run out of things to see for sure!

This spot was such a surprise! We were roadtripping through the middle of Armenia and the landscapes were stunning. We found this Caravanserai along our route. It was built in 1332 to accommodate weary travelers and their animals as they crossed from, or into, the mountainous Vayots Dzor region. The inside was really cool to see the areas separated for animals and travelers and the built in (stone) animal troughs.

We had a great time exploring the coast of Turkey. Actually, a bit overwhelming as so many amazing things to choose from. If you've never been, I highly recommend it. The coastline reminds me a bit of taking the PCH/Hwy 1 in California with pine trees meeting up with the ocean, but with amazing ancient ruins hidden everywhere!

Romania really was amazing. It is somewhere we would definitely love to come back to with a smaller vehicle so that we can further explore the hiking trails, smaller roads, etc. As it was, we felt like we explored quite of bit of the country and covered a lot of ground there. We are very (very) slowly, but surely trying to catch up on our blog posts! Macedonia was a fantastic place to settle in for a few weeks....not sure what I loved the best, the mini-cappuccinos that the campsite staff brought us every morning or the fact that we woke up to a unobstructed view over Lake Ohrid. It definitely wasn't the mean German dog the bit my thigh though! :o(
