Dear friends, Magaly Mayorga, is a fixture in el mercado en SJDS. In Nicaragua there is no financial support if COVID19 visits your family and you can't work to feed your family. For 5 years, I have seen this hardworking single mom at the crack of dawn until sunset every single day in the mercado, working to support her large family that included, her mother, a disabled adult sister, and her children. She rolls out the dough by hand, one tortilla at a time cooking it over wood fire griddle that sits on a stove made of a tire rim. She stands on her feet 12 hours a day but she catches your gaze to give you a quiet but a warm hello as you pass. She has not at been at the market for the last few days because her mother has died of Covid19. She and her family is in quranteen at home for COVID19. As such, in addition to losing her mother and dealing with possible infections of other family members, she is unable to work to take care of her family's needs. A little bit of money can go a long ways here. If a few of you can help out even just $10 or $20 each, it can carry the family through until she can return to the market when she is virus free. I am currently living near Rivas so I can make sure that food, medicine and hygiene supplies get delivered to her home in Rivas in a safe way. Canadian friends, you can Interac to

I believe in helping people who help themselves and this is a proud woman who fights every day for her family. But this time, needs a hand up to overcome this unexpected challenge of COVID19. I especially challenge to help, those who have not yet felt any effect of this virus apart from social distancing. Share a tiny buy to help a hardworking self employed woman to get through this. Thank you and stay safe all.
