After more than a decade, we are resuming flights to Eilat!

At the request of Israel’s Ministry of Transportation, and as part of a joint effort to increase flight frequency between Eilat and central Israel, EL AL will be reintroducing this important route.

The service will initially operate this coming winter only (Starting from October 21, 2025), with two daily flights on the Tel Aviv–Eilat route — one in the morning and one in the evening. Flights will be operated by our Boeing 737 aircraft, with fares starting at 139 ILS one-way for a Lite ticket including a trolley and backpack. Residents of Eilat and the Eilot region will enjoy a subsidized fare of 99 ILS one-way for a Lite ticket. Tickets are available for purchase on EL AL’s website and through travel agents.

This is also exciting news for members of our Matmid Frequent Flyer Program, as points can now be earned and redeemed on flights to and from Eilat.

As Israel’s flag carrier, we are proud to strengthen our presence in the south, improve air accessibility for Eilat residents, and expand business opportunities in the region.

EL AL Reopens Flight Sales To And From Israel. Customers Still Awaiting Recovery Can Be Assigned To An Alternative Flight.

EL AL is reopening ticket sales to and from Israel. Starting yesterday, EL AL began increasing its flight schedule and adding frequencies from key gateways where Israelis who have not yet returned home are staying.

Company customers who have not yet been assigned to recovery flights to Israel and hold an EL AL or Sundor ticket for a canceled flight can contact the service center or their travel agents (for those who booked through an agent) for assignment to an alternative flight.

These customers will not be charged an additional fee (for flights departing from the same region from which their original flight was canceled, e.g., Europe, USA/Far East).

Starting next week, EL AL's flight schedule will return to full operation for all company gateways. Customers holding tickets for departures from June 29 onwards (and Sundor customers from July 1) can check their flight status in 'Manage Booking' on the EL AL website or with their travel agents.

EL AL has published a uniform pricing structure for flights to Israel until June 30. For example, $99 from Larnaca, $149 from Athens, $230 from Rome, and $649 from New York.

Customers holding EL AL or Sundor flight tickets for departures until July 15 who do not wish to take this flight can cancel their flight (up to 72 hours before departure time) and receive a voucher for future use. Vouchers are valid for two years. A credit voucher can be issued independently on the EL AL website.

To date, EL AL has brought tens of thousands of its customers and Israelis who were staying in various gateways and whose flights were canceled due to the security events back to Israel.
