🇵🇱 If you’re coming to Warsaw to expect the postcard perfect, old medieval setting like you’ll find in other parts of Europe, you’re going to be let down. That’s not to say Poland’s capital isn’t pretty, it’s just….new.
💣 Because so much of Warsaw was destroyed during bombings in World War 2, the majority of the city has been rebuilt.
🏰 Old Town of Warsaw is actually all modern built replica of what it used to look like. So it’s nice. But to get the real Warsaw, venture out into Praga or Saksa Kępa neighborhoods. One is gritty, the other is charming.
🧳 So when you visit Warsaw, if you only see the old Town, you completely missed the point.
