A Walk Down Memory Lane
**Discovering Venice's Hidden Gems: My Bacaro Tour Adventure
When I was pursuing my master's degree in Venice University a few years ago, I got to know a local secret that I'll never forget β the Bacaro tour. For those who don't know, a Bacaro is a traditional Venetian wine bar serving small plates of local goodies called "cicchetti paired with various types of wines and refreshing Spritz cocktails. It's a must-do experience when visiting Venice.
My friends and I started our tour in the late afternoon, sipping Spritz at a cozy bar in the Rialto. We tried various cicchetti, like fritto misto (mixed fried seafood) and sarde in saor on our way. Each stop revealed new flavors and wines, like Pinot Grigio, prosecco and Soave.
As we wandered through the narrow streets, discovering hidden Baccari, each with its own specialties, we felt like locals exploring our own backyard. The Bacaro tour is about immersing yourself in Venetian culture, meeting locals, and enjoying good food and wine.
If you're planning a trip to , add a tour to your list. You'll taste the best of Venetian cuisine and experience the city's warm hospitality.
