Blue Kool-Aid.

Deep in the Costa Rican jungle, a natural phenomenon of a volcanic stream mixing with river causes an almost artificial-looking turquoise blue! The river and a waterfall can both be seen with just a quick hike in Tenorio Volcano National Park.

Meeting the Locals.

A small town dog with some big puppy eyes popped out to say hello as we explored the Austrian village of St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut. He received sufficient pets afterwards, don’t worry.

Infinite Blues.

The Greek Islands are typically packed with tourists, namely Mykonos and Santorini with their beautiful streets. But some of my favorite memories come from the quieter and more adventurous island of Paros, with all the beautiful hikes, terrain, and views it provides.

Wander back in time.

Èze was not on the itinerary, but due to a flight cancellation and an extra day, we discovered this Medieval hilltop gem towering over the French Riviera coast. Just a quick 30 minute drive from the popular coastal town of Nice and close to Monaco, sits this impressive ancient village packed on a cliff, with a maze of cobblestone streets, shops, and buildings dating back to the 1300s.

The Lobster King of Colombia.

We took a break from the hustle of the busy Cartagena streets by taking a boat cruise over to the Rosario Islands. While Cartagena has plenty to offer, it lacks picturesque beaches and clear blue water. The quick 45 minute trip was the perfect opportunity to cool off in the Caribbean Sea.

Ice Pyramid in the Alps.

High above the fairytale Swiss town of Zermatt is the Gornergrat observatory, where the most breathtaking view of the alps can be seen: 29 peaks surpassing 4,000m across Switzerland, Italy, and France, including the iconic Matterhorn seen here. I also froze my hands taking this.

Located high in the Italian Dolomites is the “Pearl of the Alps,” where you can grab a rowboat and soak up the sun on the glassy alpine lake.

Tucked against the steep base of the Julian Alps in the beautiful Triglav National Park is one of Slovenia’s most iconic sites.

We hit a short hike up the hillside where I launched the drone up through the Pines to capture Savica Falls (Slap Savica) crashing down into a gorgeous emerald pool. One of my favorite shots from our trip!
