Eurosail Travel In 2017 Eurosail Travel offers again great bike & barge tours in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France.

If you like an active, carefree holiday with a personal approach, a bike tour with Eurosail is the right thing to do. Your homebase will be one of our comfortable barges, you will be accompanied by one of our experienced guides, and a nice dinner will be prepared for you every day. You will cover a daily distance of 40 – 55 kilometers by bike. That doesn’t mean you have to bike every day. You can always opt for a walk along the canal or for an easy chair on the sun deck.

Today I was in the valley of the river Aisne, centre of the battles of World War I. The area has many memory sites like the museum de l'armistice, the underground museum 'Caverne du Dragon' and many military graveyards. I biked part of the Chemin des Dames, a road on top this breathtaking landscape.

The Burgundy 'dry run' is done. Today we checked out a few last things like a visit to the cave de Bailly where they produce a lovely cremant. The first real tour starts end of may and will run every week until the end of september. A few cabins are avalable. This is absolutely going to be a fine experience.

Day 5 of our Burgundy 'dry run'. From Joigny to Auxerre. Again we enjoyed the bikepath along the river Yonne, but also did the longer option to Brienon-sur-Armençon, a lovely place on the Burgundy canal. We arrived in Auxerre, where this tour will end. But tomorrow one more day for a loop to the south and a visit to a winery.

Day 4 from Villeneuve-sur-Yonne to Joigny. All along the river a brand new bikepath. From Joigny we did a loop through the first vineyards of Northern Burgundy. We found a winegrower who will arrange a 'degustation' for our groups.

Day 3: Sens - Villeneuve-sur-Yonne. What a fantastic route! Halfway we visited the cider museum in a very small, authentic French 'hameau' on a hilltop. A nice lady will arrange a 'degustation' for our groups. Then downhill through a forest back to the river Yonne.
