Il monumento più toccante di Amsterdam di cui nessuno ti parla... 🤫👇

Passeggiando per Marnixplein, è facile non notare quest'albero. Ma nel nostro tour del quartiere Jordaan, ci piace concentrarci sui dettagli che contano davvero. 🌳 Questo è il Bevrijdingslinde van de Jordaankinderen (il Tiglio della Liberazione dei Bambini del Jordaan). Nel 1946, i bambini di questo quartiere misero insieme i loro risparmi e le loro monete per piantare quest'albero. Il motivo? Per onorare i loro amici e compagni di classe che non erano sopravvissuti ai duri anni della Seconda Guerra Mondiale e al devastante "Inverno della Fame". 🕯️ Sotto la lapide commemorativa si trova un'urna con i nomi di tutti i bambini che contribuirono. Decenni dopo, negli anni '80, l'intero quartiere si unì di nuovo per lottare e salvare l'albero dall'abbattimento. Questo è il vero spirito di comunità del Jordaan!

Il mio obiettivo con il tour del quartiere Jordaan è quello di farvi ammirare non solo le splendide facciate, ma anche di farvi vivere il quartiere attraverso la sua storia, la sua cultura ribelle e i ricordi dei suoi abitanti. 🎒✨

This isn't just any tourist spot; it’s the world’s only floating animal sanctuary, located on the historic Singel canal since 1968. It all started with a local woman who began rescuing stray felines in her own houseboat. Today, it’s an exemplary non-profit organization that cares for and finds homes for dozens of cats, all while they enjoy their floating sunning and resting areas.
Visiting them is free (though donations are always appreciated), and it’s proof that this city hides magical stories around every corner.

Today I want to share a unique experience I had with a wonderful couple who came directly from Italy to be part of my new tour: *"Westerpark, Haarlemmerdijk, and the Flower Mill"*. 🏙🌸

Among the iconic landmarks we discovered together, we started with the magical Lutheran Church *Posthoornkerk*, famous for its breathtaking neo-Gothic design. 😇⛪ Then, we took a leap back in time to *The Movies Westerpark*, the oldest cinema in the city. Besides being transported to the past, we were lucky enough to enjoy a unique exhibition dedicated to the unforgettable *Amsterdammer*. 🎥✨

From the architecture to those hidden stories you don't always learn as a tourist, this tour was a true immersion into the cultural heart of Amsterdam. 💖 If you love history, art, and discovering less-explored places, this tour is for you!

Who would have thought that a 30-degree day with a light rain could be the perfect setting to explore the heart of the city? That was our experience with Li and Mirlo, who arrived from Brazil ready to experience the magic of Amsterdam's **Historic Center** and **Jewish Quarter**.

🌷 **We started at the iconic Dam Square**, the heart of the city and an epicenter of history and vibrant energy.

🌸 Then we visited the famous **Flower Market**, a colorful paradise that delights the senses.

🏡 It's impossible not to stop in front of the famous **Dancing Houses**! Their peculiar sloping structure tells us stories of the city from medieval times.

🎨 We explored the rich artistic heritage at the **Rembrandt House**, full of inspiration for art lovers.

🕍 We also strolled through the impressive **Portuguese Synagogue**, a symbol of Amsterdam's rich Jewish history, and discovered hidden gems like the unique and special **Casa di Pinto**.

And this is just a small part. Every corner has a story to tell in this city brimming with diversity, culture, and unforgettable moments 📸

The charm of our historic center captivated an amazing group of young Italians, aged 18-20, who love art, history, and culture. 🏛️🎨 During our visit, we left no stone unturned and explored gems that capture the soul of the city:

📖 *The Poezenboot* 🐾, a unique boat where kittens steal hearts.

🏡 *The smallest house in the city,* small in size, but big on history!

🕰️ *The Mint Tower,* witness to centuries of fascinating stories.

🍃 *Coffeeshop Prix d'Amix*, a vibrant meeting place in the heart of the city.

With a temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and spirits at 100%, an incredibly disciplined and athletic group set out to explore the heart of Amsterdam. 🌞 Can you imagine walking amidst the history that permeates these places?

First stop: the majestic headquarters of the Dutch East India Company, where dreams and trade routes that transformed the world were forged. ✈️ Next, we immersed ourselves in the magnificent architecture of the Trippenhuis and continued on to Waag Castle, a medieval gem in the heart of the city. 🏰 To balance our energy, we visited the serene and captivating Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple. 🕊️ All this while learning historical facts, interesting tidbits, and soaking up the city's unique vibe.
