The 2016 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season is 68th world championship season. Round 8 of which was held in Assen today on 26th June. The original TT Circuit Assen, one of the oldest one in the world, was built in 1925 and later renovated again in 1955.
Today, the Dutch TT race was declared a wet race when heavy rain resulted in red flagging of the race. Many bikes crashed because of extremely slippery conditions. Valentino Rossi VR46 Official of Yamaha Racing was finishing first when he just slipped just before some last final laps. The person who is currently acing the global MotoGP standings is Marc Márquez and today he finished second.
Jack Miller who is 21 years old finished first today and won the Dutch TT. However, on a global standing he is still on number 13th. The video below shows just some seconds before he finished his final lap. And this is what he said after winning the race,
“I just hope we’ve showed them wrong, and I can ride the bike, and I’m not an idiot. Thank you to Honda for taking risk on me.”
