Holland anyone ?? Beautiful countryside, Kinderjik windmill farms and Amsterdam canals, shops and restaurants- the Dutch are incredibly welcoming - just watch out for the bikes!!!

Cologne Germany did not disappoint- while quite an urban city nestled against the Rhein, it still holds its own charm and beauty as well as some excellent beer and food options - great photo of the Viking boat as well!

The wonderful Rhein River boasts some amazing castles and vineyards directly along the banks - very reminiscent of Game of Thrones and truly stunning! Many have been converted into hotel or hostel properties as well!

Next stop on our fabulous Viking River cruise - Strasbourg France- we embarked on a food and wine city tour and learned all about the Rieslings (dry not sweet!) and other wonderful white wines in the Alsace region. Eclairs, croissant, charcuterie and flambé - an excellent way to explore a new city !
