Welcome Spring/Summer 2025

Today, we proudly introduce the start of our spring/summer 2025 season, captured in our completely revamped photo studio. This isn’t just any studio—it’s a tribute to Picasso’s home and atelier, a space where creativity, experimentation, quality, and expression come together.

For us, art and clothing are inseparable. The way great masters capture their world—bold, unconventional, and driven by an unstoppable pursuit of perfection—remains a constant source of inspiration. Just as an art lover observes a painting, we view clothing: with attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the story behind every piece.

For the launch of our new collection, we’ve created an environment where that same passion comes alive—a place where art and craftsmanship meet.

Our spring/summer 2025 collection has been curated with the same attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality. Each piece is carefully selected with its story in mind and crafted using the finest techniques. The result is clothing designed to last, remain beautiful over time, and gain character as it’s worn. Like a true work of art, each piece reveals new nuances the longer you look—and wear.

Art and clothing have always been deeply connected for us. Just as great artists create with intention, composition, and craftsmanship, we carefully curate our collections with a strong focus on quality, storytelling, and detail. We find inspiration in the masters of art, as we, too, create—building a selection of garments that stand the test of time, both in style and craftsmanship.

Yellow Irises (1901) is a painting from Pablo Picasso’s early period, just before his famous Blue Period began. This piece, painted in vibrant shades of yellow and green, exudes an optimism that would later make way for deeper emotional layers in his work. During this time, Picasso experimented with color, light, and composition—foreshadowing the masterpieces that would follow.

For us, Yellow Irises marks the beginning of a new season—fresh, vibrant, and full of new energy. Just as Picasso approached his work with a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of color and form, we carefully curate our summer collection with a focus on craftsmanship and storytelling.

During the buying process for this collection, we visited the Picasso Museum—an experience that left a lasting impression on us. For our ss25 studio, we have recreated Picasso’s own workspace, drawing inspiration from his approach to art: bold, expressive, and full of unexpected beauty.

The 1957 West Point ballcap in our Neighbourhood men’s store Arnhem.

A timeless piece of baseball heritage. This authentic reproduction of the original 1957 West Point ballcap is hand-sewn in the USA from genuine wool baseball cloth. Featuring a black broadcloth body, a gold felt “A”, and a leather strap with an antiqued brass closure, it embodies classic American craftsmanship.

Inspired by the Army Black Knights, who play at Doubleday Field—named after Major General Abner Doubleday, once (mistakenly) credited with inventing baseball.

Paris - Last week, we visited Paris to attend trade shows, immerse ourselves in inspiration, and reconnect with valued acquaintances. Once again, our brands demonstrated why we are proud to collaborate with them.

We encountered an inspiring array of recycled materials, exquisite woolen pieces, and a deepened commitment to timeless, high-quality craftsmanship. It is always a privilege to witness the passion, expertise, and meticulous care that our brand partners infuse into their work.

Crafted from sturdy 15 oz. organic cotton denim, the Penn Graphite jeans are made to last. Their grey wash draws inspiration from the charcoal denim popularized by American bikers in the 1950s, lending a subtle edge to the timeless cut.

Every pair is carefully made in Tenue’s denim factory in Umbertide, Italy—a place where tradition and meticulous craftsmanship come together to create a jean that feels both contemporary and steeped in iconic history.

We had the privilege of seeing this captivating painting, Deux Yeux by Kees van Dongen, in person during the exhibition in Laren, Netherlands. A longtime favorite of ours, this masterpiece embodies Van Dongen’s brilliance and unique artistic vision.

Kees van Dongen drew inspiration from the modernity of his time, the vibrant energy of Parisian nightlife, and the women who became his muses. In Deux Yeux, we see his fascination with women as both muses and symbols of modernity. The hypnotic eyes and expressive colors not only reflect his admiration for feminine beauty but also his ability to capture inner emotions and mystery.

What made Van Dongen unique and authentic was his uncompromising use of color and expression. As a prominent member of Fauvism, he used intense, non-realistic colors to amplify emotions. At the same time, he remained true to his own style by portraying his subjects—often women—with a blend of sensuality and individuality. His work reveals that he was not just an observer but a storyteller who captured the soul of his time.

In Deux Yeux, you see his remarkable balance between realism and abstraction, capturing the essence of humanity in a single gaze. This painting remains a testament to his gift for transforming ordinary moments into something timeless and magical.

The printed scarves were the very first items Drake’s created back in the late 1970s, and their timeless charm continues to captivate to this day.

Available in our store, this stunning scarf features the iconic Mughal Hunter print—a design steeped in history, drawn from Drake’s extensive archive. Inspired by the rich heritage of the Mughal dynasty, which ruled much of India from the 16th to 18th century, the print reflects traditional Indian miniature paintings and hunting scenes that often depicted kings and nobles during their expeditions.

Hunting was more than a practical activity; it symbolized power, status, and a profound connection to nature. The intricate details of the design—showcasing hunters, animals, and lush flora—are masterfully stylized to evoke a sense of exoticism, history, and artistry.

Crafted in Italy, this scarf blends 70% wool and 30% silk, with the vivid Mughal Hunter motif adding an elegant and versatile touch. By reimagining these historical elements in a contemporary accessory, Drake’s effortlessly merges heritage, art, and timeless sophistication.
