Cymbidium orchids are exceptionally long-lasting, but they have one major vulnerability: the tiny cap inside the flower.

If this cap is accidentally touched or removed, the orchid reacts as if it has been pollinated. It immediately stops powering the bloom and redirects all its energy into making seeds, causing the flower to fade prematurely.

Tip: leave the central cap untouched to keep your blooms fresh for weeks!
