🇺🇸/🇬🇧 In 2017 I took my boyfriend (now husband) to Iceland to show him the country I fell in love with all those years ago. When we arrived in Ísafjörður, a very comfortable and peaceful feeling fell over the both of us. Right there and then we decided that if we were lucky enough to welcome a daughter in the future, we would name her after that special town.

Last October I gave birth to our daughter, Isa Anne 😊
🇳🇱 In 2017 heb ik mijn vriend (nu echtgenoot) meegenomen naar IJsland om hem het land te laten zien waar ik al die jaren verliefd op ben geworden. Toen we aankwamen in Ísafjörður viel er een vreemd gevoel van rust en veiligheid over ons. We hebben daar en toen besloten dat als we het geluk zouden hebben om in de toekomst een dochter te mogen verwelkomen, we haar naar die speciale stad zouden vernoemen.

Afgelopen oktober is onze dochter Isa Anne geboren 😊

🇬🇧/🇺🇸 Go in or leave the Westfjords in style: with the Baldur Ferry! It's a nice way to travel between the Snæfellsnes peninsula and the Westfjords and it's faster than driving all the way around.

🇬🇧/🇺🇸 My first clients just landed in Keflavík! They have my personalized travel guide with them. The travel guide will show them the ringroad, highlands, Westfjords and Snæfellsnes!

🇬🇧/🇺🇸 Two weeks ago, I got my first personal travel guide back from the copyshop. I worked on it for months and I'm so proud and so happy this guide is finally here!
A Dutch couple is exploring Iceland right now, with my book to guide them!

🇳🇱 Twee weken geleden kreeg ik mijn eerste persoonlijke reisadvies in print terug van de drukkerij. Ik heb er maanden aan gewerkt en ik ben zo ontzettend trots en ben blij dat ik dit boekje eindelijk in mijn handen heb!
En Nederlands stel is IJsland op dit moment aan het verkennen. Ze hebben mijn boekje mee om hen de allermooiste plekjes te laten zien!

A little personal:
I wanted to upload more often than I did. Two weeks ago, my mom got gravely ill very suddenly. After major surgery, she's now recovering.

Since my mom was a little girl, she dreamt of visiting Iceland some day. My parents finally made my mom's dream come true in 2007 and I went with them because I didn't want them to go without me. That's were we all fell in love with Iceland 😍

After these horrific 2 weeks, my mom will not be able to go to Iceland anytime soon. So here I am, posting this beautiful picture of her favorite place in the world to cheer her up and to encourage her to set Iceland as a goal again.
