Most people put their camera away the moment it starts raining. Big mistake!

Some of the most striking wildlife shots come from bad weather, fog that isolates your subject, snow that adds texture, rain that creates mood no sunny day can match.

Here are 4 tips to make the most of it:
�🌧️ Protect your gear first: a rain cover or even a plastic bag with a hole for the lens can save the shoot.
�🌫️ Let fog simplify your composition: it clears busy backgrounds and isolates your subject naturally.
�📸 Don't be afraid to raise your ISO: a little noise beats a blurry photo.
�❄️ Choose your shutter speed based on the effect you want: fast to freeze drops and flakes, slow to turn them into motion.

What makes the leopard such an incredible hunter? 🐆

Leopards may look effortlessly elegant, but behind that appearance is an incredibly well-adapted predator.

🌿 Built for stealth�Their spotted coat helps break up their outline, making them surprisingly difficult to spot in vegetation and dappled light.

🌳 Powerful climbers�Leopards are exceptionally strong climbers and can carry prey into trees, helping them protect their meal from competing predators and scavengers.

🦴 Retractable claws�Their claws are kept protected when not in use, helping them stay sharp and ready for climbing, gripping and hunting.

🎯 Patience is a weapon�Rather than relying on long chases, leopards often use stealth and ambush to get close before making their move.

Four very different adaptations, all helping make the leopard one of nature's most effective and elusive predators.

Just a lynx doing cat things 🐈‍⬛

Watching a wild lynx play with its prey is a strange reminder that, despite how different they look from our house cats, some behaviours are surprisingly familiar.

Except this time, the “toy” is a wild rabbit 🐇

Can you tell when a wild animal feels comfortable around you? 🐾

Wildlife photography isn't only about camera settings and composition.

Learning to read animal behaviour can help you understand when an animal feels relaxed in your presence, and when it's time to give it more space.

🦌 Feeding or grooming�
An animal that continues to feed or groom naturally may feel comfortable enough to lower its guard.

🐾 Relaxed posture�
Loose muscles, natural movements and a non-alert posture can all be positive signs.

👀 No continuous staring�
Looking around, blinking or turning away can indicate that the animal doesn't perceive you as a threat.

😴 Lying down or resting�
When an animal settles down and rests, it can be a strong indication that it feels safe enough to relax.

Of course, behaviour varies between species and situations. One sign alone doesn't tell the whole story, always look at the animal's overall behaviour.

📸 The better we understand wildlife, the better we can photograph it without disturbing it.

Did you know the Osprey is almost perfectly engineered for fishing? 🦅🐟

Everything about this incredible bird seems designed around one challenge: catching and carrying slippery fish.
🦶 A built-in locking system�An Osprey can rotate one of its outer toes backwards, giving it two toes facing forward and two facing backwards, creating a remarkably secure grip.

💨 An aerodynamic flight�Once it has caught a fish, the Osprey will reposition it so the fish faces forward, reducing air resistance while flying.

🌊 Built for diving�Ospreys can plunge into the water from impressive heights. Their nostrils close on impact, while a transparent third eyelid helps protect their eyes and allows them to see underwater.

🐟 Designed for slippery prey�The underside of their feet is covered with tiny spicules that act like miniature grips, helping them hold onto wet, slippery fish.

Nature rarely wastes a detail. Every adaptation has a purpose.
