Safe and sound back in our home port of Franeker after a wonderful first season on the Baltic Sea!
We extend our thanks to all the returning guests of the Avatar and to our new guests for their trust, for helping make our sailing trips a success, and for creating beautiful memories together.

The sails are rolled and buckled to the spars,
wrapped tight in canvas like a winter coat.
Two masts still point to where the weather starts,
and nod to every slosh beneath the boat.

Her hull is painted green as pear-skin, pale,
a color someone chose one hopeful spring.
The wind comes through the rigging, finds no sail,
and tries each line the way you'd test a string.

The pillings hold her close. The water's dark.
Her cabin shines with varnish, door shut tight.
Out past the dock the bay is wide and stark,
and clouds go sailing off in borrowed light.

She hums along in every rope and line,
and stays, because somebody tied the twine.

Today, we participated in the regatta Wilhelmshaven Sailing-Cup and won! We enjoyed a beautifully sunny day and guests with guter Laune.
A big thank you to the organisation and the people from MBV, who helped sailing today!

We have just left Helgoland and are on our way to Wilhelmshaven for the Wilhelmshaven Sailing-CUP !

Together with both new and returning guests, we are enjoying a wonderful summer on the Baltic Sea. After sailing along the Danish islands of Ærø, Langeland, Falster and Møn, the first leg ended in Copenhagen. From there, we sailed via Helsingør to the Swedish west coast, where we are now (re)discovering the beautiful archipelago and skerry coast. Thanks to a tip from a good colleague, we are anchored in the idyllic harbour of Åstol tonight.

While everyone on shore is suffering from the heat, we are enjoying a pleasantly cool sea breeze aboard the Quadra.
