Bezig met je vakantie plannen voor volgend jaar, maar weet je nog niet precies waarheen? Lees dan het blog van Francis Keijzer op Blogspot Dominican Republic

We hebben op een rijtje gezet wat we wilden: mooie stranden, een andere cultuur, een beetje reizen zonder steeds van accommodatie te veranderen en een beetje avontuur.

Na het doorbladeren van blogs en Pinterest viel onze interesse op de Dominicaanse Republiek. Een snelle duik in meer onderzoek bevestigde het: dit zou onze bestemming worden.

Ik werd zelfs lid van deze Facebook-groep "Info Dominicaanse Republiek" om inzichten te verzamelen, hoewel de enorme hoeveelheid informatie overweldigend was. Nu we hebben genoten van Piña Colada's op witte zandstranden, willen we graag onze reistips en ervaringen met jullie delen.

We completed shopping now for 70 kids and we have received some more donations.

So proud that all our kids from last year who are still in Manguito School can attend classes by the end of August as they have received their full uniforms and school supplies.

Alex, Andrew, Danielle, Emelin, Frank, Jordanny, Mileisy, Rebecca, Runiely, Yaciely and Zadhiel have happy faces as well.

THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU.

Any new donations we will use for the 4/5 years old who would like to attend classes, but are not registered yet as they don't have the uniform/supplies.

Back to school for the new season.

For 61 children from the Domino Foundation Dominican Republic project it is already reality that they can return to school after the summer holiday.

For 11 children we are missing in this moment the dollars to buy the uniforms and the supplies.

Do you want to make the difference and keep a child in school and change his or her future?

The total school package of both uniform, 2 pair of shoes, underwear, socks, belt, backpack, notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, sharpener, eraser etc is around USD 110.
