Drexciya - Journey of the Deep Sea Dweller
Represses surfacing soon…

Repress comes with artwork by acclaimed American artist Ellen Gallagher, who created a series of paintings titled Watery Ecstatic, inspired by Drexciya’s music—which she discovered while immersed in the mid-‘90s New York techno scene.

After encountering her work and a series of in-depth conversations with Ellen Gallagher about their shared connection to the Drexciyan mythology, Clone Records recognized a deep alignment between her visual language and the sonic universe of Drexciya. These exchanges led to the decision to feature Gallagher’s artwork on the covers of the Journey of the Deep Sea Dweller compilation series — uniting her layered, oceanic imagery with the duo’s visionary underwater soundscape.

Drexciya itself needs no introduction for most—it’s one of the most influential projects in techno history. But for some, this might serve as an entry point into their sonic universe and the broader (Detroit) techno culture. Their music emerged from a harsh environment, and it shows—raw, uncompromising, and boundary-pushing. Drexciya redefined Detroit techno like no one else.

Drexciya – Journey Of The Deep Sea Dweller (2025 Edition)

A new run of the legendary Journey Of The Deep Sea Dweller series is on its way!

This edition features new cover art by acclaimed American artist Ellen Gallagher, inspired by her Watery Ecstatic series—paintings born from hearing Drexciya in the ‘90s NYC techno scene. Now partly based in Rotterdam, her art brings a tactile, embossed texture to this release, echoing Drexciya’s deep sonic world.

Drexciya redefined Detroit techno—raw, mythical, and uncompromising. For those who know, this is a fresh context. For the uninitiated, a perfect entry into the aquatic universe.

After the euphoric first Clone Label night during ADE, RAUM has invited us back to do it all over again.
This time, we’re having the focus on our shared love for House music!
Clone Records has always been rooted in classic House, Techno, and Electro, drawing inspiration from the legends who shaped the sound we know and love: Larry Heard, Mike Dunn, Jovonn, Marshall Jefferson, Frankie Knuckles, Kerri Chandler, Ron Trent ao’s.
We’re bringing some incredible talent to the decks. Get ready for the one and only Prosumer, one of our favorite House DJs, former Panorama Bar resident, and all-around good guy. We’re excited to welcome DJ Pete, our Hardwax colleague and renowned techno DJ, who shares our deep passion for House music. Plus, we’ll be joined by Charmaine, the up-and-coming talent from Rotterdam with an impeccable selection, and of course, Serge, the mastermind behind Clone Records and A&R guy for Clone Royal Oak. One of the finest house labels from the lowlands!
