‘Wow, top 3. Maar stemmen krijgen is niet hetzelfde als stemmen weten te werven. En het wel of niet hebben of inzetten van die ‘skill’ zegt niets over de waarde van de impact die je maakt met je initiatief of organisatie.’

‘Ik heb geen werk, ik ben mijn werk. En dat voelt als een kado. Ik denk ook dat vrouwen dát goed kunnen. In contact zijn met je passie, iets voor je zien, en dan gaan dóen. Jullie zijn de verborgen schatkamer van de stad.’

Er zijn zoveel parallelle werelden in één stad te ontdekken, ik reken me met deze warmhartige en positieve avond rijk!

Het was erg leuk om stemmen te werven. Dank voor alle vinkjes (die ik ook al heb 🙄)!

Zo hé, bijzondere week!

Ik ben genomineerd!

In Rotterdam gebeurt het. De wereld beter maken. 
In de spotlights of onder de radar, in het centrum of in de wijken: Rotterdam is rijk aan vrouwen die gewoonweg hebben aangepakt.
En iets hebben neergezet: een wijkhub, een inclusief netwerk, een innovatieve start-up, een circulair bedrijf, een leeromgeving voor unieke talenten.
Het zijn de makers van een fijne samenleving, de krachten in de Onderstroom.

En precies deze Rotterdamse doeners maak ik altijd graag zichtbaar tijdens onze excursies. Dan komen we langs voor een ontmoeting. De bezoekers zijn keer op keer dankbaar, geraakt en geïnspireerd. En we zorgen ervoor dat deze inspiratie ook financieel gewaardeerd wordt. Zo draag ook ik met deze win-win een steentje bij aan wat relevant is.

Without partners in crime no tours with a heart. Big thanks to all special entrepreneurs, private locations and hidden addresses who make inspiring programs happen. And thank you, the many regular clients who bring groups from all over the world. We feel so happy being of added value to what you aim to deliver. Welcome to Rotterdam again in 2025!

Gateway to Rotterdam?

Boy did we get some awesome requests for the past week!
Let me tell you about this specific one:

🚆
The Belgium Railways came over to Rotterdam with their development team; a group of mixed experts: logistics, IT, branding, finance.

🎓
Main innovation topics: mobility supply customer experience

🎳
We arranged several experts at Central Station shared tons of ‘ooohh’ and ‘aha!’ information. I got to join myself and loved the following striking intell!

💫 the Albert Heijn To Go supermarket sells out 3 (!) times a day....
imagine the supply dynamics from the hidden corridor running behind all shops

💫 this AH is franchised by Nederlandse Spoorwegen...
so this supermarket personnel is working for NS. These retail activities show to be significant for NS Concern, a completely new concept to our guests. The staff of Kiosk and Julia’s are NS personnel as well. These concepts are developed and owned by NS (not franchised)

💫 the ‘smart tram’ driving around Rotterdam is a testing lab, while being part of the daily network...
this was a new idea to the visiting innovation team, triggering lots of questions

💫 the (free!) bike parking stores 4.000 bikes, also positioned underground....
the group loved the double stack sliding-system,
and the fact that these racks ‘feel’ being occupied, enabling that real-time availability is shown at the front of each row

💫 the letters CENTRAAL STATION where re-used (okay okay 3 had to be re-produced 😉) ....
during the transition period from the old station (so loved but too small) to the new station, the letters said TRAAN LATEN (shed a tear)

💫 logistics in Markthal are hidden. No-one ever sees a roll container......
the supply of the Markthal units is very different than of the Albert Heijn supermarket on -1 (with a ‘street elevator’) ánd far from similar to the AH shop at Central Station. More over, at CS, the NS herself (!) is in charge of all logistic schedules to and from the stores

To top it off, lunch is ready!

This same week we hosted the development team of ‘Sweden’s most populair shopping mall’. Same topics, completely different bespoke programme.

Proosten met onze 60 gidsen, dat is proosten op Rotterdam en op elkaar: inventief, gastvrij en rijk aan kennis & verhalen.

Theo Kion en Louise Kuijpers, dat was een fantastische presentatie over Stadionpark. We zijn nu helemaal bijgepraat …... en fan!

Kennis opdoen over ‘gebouwen oogsten’, nieuwe getijdenparken, de derde oeververbinding, wonen, participatie…..Heerlijk hoe jullie zoveel informatie met ons wilden delen. Nu kunnen wij alles doorvertellen aan onze bezoekersgroepen.
