It is with a heavy heart that we now announce the official closing of Noble Savage. The reason is, like the french say “une salade” - a mix of factors involving a cheesy love story, a deadly virus and a twin pregnancy. Yes, it sounds like the plot of a bad ‘90s thriller, but this is reality - even more dramatic.

It has been a 2,5 year long rollercoaster of sunny packed days filled with laughter and rainy restless lockdown days.
We have met so many interesting and awesome people and we love all of you who have supported, and followed us through these years.

We are open this week as usual but from next week the shop will be closed, so this is the last chance to get cut in the shop!
If you have credits or coins, you can either use it this week for a treatment, but you’ll still be able to buy products that we have left in stock until around the beginning of July, just send us a message (since we’re not in the shop) and we will arrange it!

Bonjour sauvages!
We are now offering a FREE toilet bag if you purchase any Reuzel product in the shop.
It’s a great practical bag for when you travel, which is practically impossible at the moment!

And you get one bag per purchase, even if you buy multiple products. However it’s a grey zone, because if you buy one pomade, walk out and you walk back in 2 mins later to buy a second product, how can we deny you another one of those marvellous bags.

We have to admit, it’s not the most beautiful creation we have seen, but they are very practical and can fit a lot in the pockets.
Plus, it’s used in the bathroom, not at the fu***ng opera.

So, the previous post about booking your appointment... it’s deleted and please forget it ever happened. Not only was it totally foolish to ask you to book, since now we have to cancel all the appointments again and wait until we are actually allowed to open.... but also the images were sloppily uploaded which compromised the definition of the photos. It felt like taking a p**s on the skilful craft by the talented photographer Olivier (insta: ) just to make an announcement that wasn’t even necessary....
So here are those photos again but in their correct quality. And the announcement this time is, do NOT book an appointment since we can never be sure when to open until we’re open....

As all of you know, 2020 has been a fantastic year, people are healthy, the economy is thriving and everyone have been socialising more than ever before.
And just when we thought this year couldn’t possibly get any better, it did! We got blessed with a well needed lockdown, having to close shop during the most important month of the year! 🎉

This is cause for a celebration. So if you want to celebrate with us, we have some options for you;

🔘 Buy our gift coins. Every coin is €5 and you can choose any amount. That helps us with the cash flow right now and it’s also a perfect gift for the holidays. It’s also a clever to keep them for yourself since paying with coins makes every service slightly cheaper. If you’re a real investment expert, you buy a bunch for yourself plus for all your friends and relatives. Then you do a good deal AND you look like fu***ng Santa clause, sorry, Sinterklaas.

🔘 Buy karma. Just donate. Be that person, the epicentre of this celebration party who only wants to give without getting anything back. Since karma is a fact and not a belief system, you do get it back somehow.

Seriously though, we do need your help. We truly feel empathy for all the horecas and health care workers, that’s why we eat as much take away as possible and we did the free haircuts campaign for the health care workers. But our situation is also, to put it simply, fu**ed up.

So if you want to support us, just write to us here on Insta or Fb and we will meet you in the shop for the coins/masks. For donations and credits, we’ll just send you a pay link.

Our barber Myra is in their last phase of training and has been doing some impressive cuts lately, showing a broad diversity of skills from smooth fades to clean beard trims and classy or messy style haircuts.
The models have walked out of the shop very happy to say the least!

Soon, Myra will be a full blown Noble Savage and available for regular bookings. Stay tuned!

Last week we were visited by Roland Parijs aka DansOpa. A video of him spontaneously dancing in the street in The Hague city center went viral on YouTube and Twitter a short while ago (link in the comments!).

It was an honour to pamper this man and to give back a fraction of the love and positive vibes he has given people worldwide in a time when we need it the most! Thanks Roland for your visit and till next time, in the meanwhile, please keep dancing!!!

We always appreciate the support and love we get from you, our dear savage customers, both for the job we do and the efforts we make to contribute in these special times, like the “Haircare for healthcare”-campaign.

But we also struggle a lot so that the shop can survive the COVID crisis. So now you can officially help us by donating €20 (or 4 NS coins of course), and as a symbolic “thank you” you receive the coolest face mask ever. A little bit like the pink ribbon campaign but slightly less corrupted. The mask is a symbol of solidarity and a proof that you take part in what we do and stand for. Hence the name “The Noble mask”.

The 1:st December face masks will be mandatory in all indoor public spaces in NL, so this is the right time to get it! Be like Nelson Mandela - do the right thing!
