Meet Adama. 🧶
Adama is a mother of one child and expecting her second — so the second will arrive soon!
She attended school to learn sewing and is currently training in cooking, so she is definitely a creative woman, building her life in Abene.
Adama is fully ready to learn crochet. Not only to master the skill herself, but especially to pass it on to others.
She sees the Bagolu crochet school as a place where this craft can truly flourish. A place where women can create, crochet and make handmade items to sell — and, step by step, improve their lives and opportunities.
We are grateful that Adama is part of Bagolu from the very start.
And this is where you can help. 🧶
For the Bagolu crochet project in Senegal, we are collecting crochet hooks.
Do you have a crochet hook at home that you no longer use? Your crochet hook can get a new life in Abene.
Would you like to support the project in another way?
Every contribution is welcome. Maybe you want to donate, share our story, connect us with someone, or offer another kind of support.
Step by step, every gesture helps us build this crochet school in Abene.
Send me a DM with the word HAAKNAALD or BAGOLU, and I will tell you how you can help.
From heart to hands.
From handmade skills to new opportunities.
❤️
