One and a half year ago we opened our shop at Kapitaal, but have since then moved to hostel StayOkay. In one year we succesfully completed a crowdfunding campaign, launched a Coffee&Cake map in collaboration with Rood Gras, another map for an art exhibition and a set of greeting cards, we worked together with Utrecht Made, I know this great little place in Utrecht, Rechtstreex Utrecht, and CultureRoad, we have given several lectures and guided tours, and helped visitors of Utrecht find their way around town to have the best time! We are ever so grateful for everyone we met and collaborated with, for everyone who visited and helped us. But even some great things come to an end: today was the last day we were open as an information point for visitors and lovers of Utrecht! From today on we will continue to develop maps (next ones are by Tosam and Juliet Campfens - stay tuned!), but we will no longer have our own hotSPOT. However, we are sure we will still see you around town, and we’ll continue to tell everyone why we love Utrecht too! Thank you!

2017 is 'Mondriaan to Dutch design'-year to celebrate the 100th anniversary of art movement De Stijl. So ofcourse the new USE-IT map designer, Munir de Vries Illustration, was inspired by Rietveld and other important artists of that time. Our friends from CultureRoad are working on the second edition of the USE-IT Utrecht map, and we are very excited you can SPOT our faces amongst the local's tips, and so proud that we are on the map that inspired us to do what we do! Can you guess the theme from this little sneak peak?

Did you know our very own Lieke is involved with the organisation of Café Theater Festival 2017? This weekend -March 3rd, 4th, and 5th - you can enjoy theater, dance, and comedy at 27 different cafes throughout the city. There are seven 'Language No Problem' performances and six themed routes, but of course you can plan your own schedule, too! Unfortunately that means that SPOT will only be open on Friday the 3rd from 12:00 til 17:00. See you then or, of course, at CTF!

Our lovely hosts at Stayokay Utrecht - Centrum are celebrating today. The central heating will be turned down, and you can lend or swap a nice sweater, and drink some mulled wine to stay warm.

Unfortunately that also means that we will be closed today, the 10th of February. But no worries, we're back tomorrow with maps and advice on where to go in Utrecht from 12:00 til 18:00 o'clock!

We've moved!
