It is quite widely spoken (and understood) in informal situations. Neapolitan is not taught in schools, however, in 2008 a law by the region of Campania stated that Neapolitan was to be protected. Due to all the immigration from southern Italy, Neapolitan hugely influenced Argentinian and Uruguayan Spanish.

Yet the horn is none another than a stylisation of a phallus, that of the Grecoroman god Priapus, guardian of the lands, protector from the evil eye and god of prosperity, the house and fishing.
