Cecilie Skog, the Norwegian climber and polar explorer, was the first woman to complete the “Explorer’s Grand Slam” — the adventurers’ challenge to reach the North Pole, the South Pole, and all of the Seven Summits - the highest mountains on each of the seven continents.
Together with Ryan Waters, she also made the first unassisted and unsupported crossing of Antarctica.
She was furthermore the first woman to reach the North Pole from land.
