Three and a half hours on the Osterfjord, and you end up at Mostraumen — a strait so narrow the current pushes the boat around a little. Most people who visit Bergen never hear about it.

We pass waterfalls, mountain farms and the odd seal if we're lucky 🌊

The boat leaves from the harbour, a few minutes' walk from Fisketorget. Year round, in all kinds of weather — honestly, the fjord in fog or snow is its own experience.

Introducing our proud vessel, Eric the Red ⚓

Our boat carries the name of one of the most legendary explorers in Norse history — and there's a good story behind it.

Born in Norway over a thousand years ago, Erik the Red became famous for sailing west into uncharted waters and founding the first European settlement on a vast, icy island. To draw others to follow him, he gave that island a name designed to inspire: Greenland. Some call it history's first great marketing move. We just call it the spirit of a true adventurer — curiosity, courage, and a love for the open sea.
