Cruise ship industry news. Some of the old cruise ships are now sold for Scrap Metal. Entire industry is going down.

Business is up 30% at the Aliaga ship recycling port in Izmir, Turkey. In this drone shot, 5 luxury cruise ships are seen being broken down for scrap metal.

With the global coronavirus pandemic pushing the multi-billion dollar cruise industry into crisis, some cruise operators have been forced to cut losses and retire ships earlier than planned.

The cruise industry has been one of the hardest hit industries with public confidence in cruise holidays plummeting after a series of outbreaks occurred on cruise liners as the pandemic spread. The crisis however has bolstered the years intake of ships at the Aliaga ship recycling port with business up 30% on the previous year.

7 mountains hike is a hiking tout that involves all 7 mountains around Bergen. This picture is shared by Linn Mari Røseth via Bergen Før i Tiden community. A picture shows several people on their way to the mountains in 1968. It is interesting to see buildings and the way people were dresses back in those days. A lot of things have changed in Bergen and Norway, however traditions remain strong. For decades now 7 mountains hike attracts thousands of city dwellers and guests. #1968

Our adventures with Saint Olav College friends from Minnesota continues. Today we delivered a guided tour in Bergen area. We visited Troldhaugen - a home of famous composer Edvard Grieg and his wife Nina. We also visited Fantoft Stave Church. This time we guided for another two groups of Students and undergraduates about 75 people all Together. Our guests were very happy with our tour and enjoyed the entertainment we provided and planned for them. It warms my heart to work with fellow Americans and this is the second time in a row they and their partners chose us as their partner in Bergen. @ Troldhaugen
