A true norse blot at norse grounds!

Norway, 800 AD: at the fields of Romerrike the tribes of free men called Raumene reigned. They fought and gave blot and hails to Odin the rageful and held their Council at Eidsiva. Here they met to divide the land, appoint their rulers and judge those who opposed the laws. Eidsivating still exists as a court today and the historic place of Eidsvoll, where 112 men met and wrote the Norwegian Const

itution in 1814, got its name from Eidsiva. Eidsvoll still has traces of settlements and Viking graves after the tribes of Raumene. Norways extreme metal has developed from rebellion into a highly acclaimed artistic expression of a complex music genre under our constitutional right to freedom of speech. This year we celebrate the 200 year anniversary of the Norwegian Constitution all over Norway and Saturday, september 13th, the anniversary will end at Eidsvoll with ancient Norewgian sounds and music, true Norse extreme metal, photo exhibitions and guided tours to the viking graves. Saturday, September 13th will be an open-air all day event where we will honour Norways Norse history and Raumene who laid the foundation of Norways constitution at Eidsivating. Live performances from Enslaved and Wardruna.

Did you miss "Skuggsjá" at Eidsivablot? Now's your chance at Roadburn Festival :-)

Written by Enslaved's Ivar Bjørnson and Einar “Kvitrafn” Selvik (Wardruna for the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian Constitution and premiered this past weekend at the Eidsivablot festival, this will be Skuggsjá‘s first performance outside of Norway, and will certainly be one of the highlights of the 20th edition of Roadburn Festival.
